Ahead of Zoom Earnings, Here's What Barchart Data Says Comes Next for ZM Stock

Zoom Communications (ZM) is set to report its fiscal Q2 results on Aug. 25 after market close, and the options market believes the release will prove a near-term tailwind for the company’s share price. Consensus is for the enterprise communications specialist to record $1.01 in earnings per share (EPS) for its second financial quarter, which would represent a 2.02% increase on a year-over-year basis.

Zoom stock has been a muted investment in 2026, currently down about 3% versus the start of this year.

What Options Pricing Suggests About Zoom Stock’s Next Move

While 2% year-on-year growth doesn’t sound particularly exciting, options traders still expect ZM shares to inch higher after the earnings event.

The put-to-call ratio on contracts expiring at the end of next week sits at 0.50x currently, indicating bullish skew heading into the quarterly release. And the upper price on those option contracts is set at just over $114, according to Barchart’s data, signaling potential for a 7.56% near-term rally on the back of the Q2 print.

Even from a technical perspective, Zoom Communications remains handily above its key moving averages (MAs), with an RSI in the early 60s reinforcing intense buying pressure.

What Makes ZM Shares Attractive to Own in 2026

Zoom shares are trading at an attractive price-to-sales (P/S) multiple of about 6.5x as of writing.

The company is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) features into its core platform to improve customer retention and boost average revenue per user (ARPU).

Plus, ZM has a sizable stake in Anthropic worth more than $1.5 billion and growing as the artificial intelligence research lab continues to aggressively hit revenue growth milestones.

Note that Barchart also currently holds an “88% BUY” opinion on San Jose-headquartered Zoom based on 13 distinct short-, medium-, and long-term technical indicators.

How Wall Street Recommends Playing Zoom Communications

It's also worth mentioning that Wall Street firms remain bullish on Zoom heading into the earnings event.

According to Barchart, the consensus rating on ZM stock sits at “Moderate Buy,” with the mean price target of nearly $117 signaling potential for a more than 10% rally from here.
