Chainlink Loses 21% in October Even as Tokens Keep Leaving Exchanges

Chainlink (LINK) has drained from Binance for 18 days running, the kind of exit bulls tend to cheer. Its price has refused to join in, shedding 20.8% so far in October.

Up close, the streak looks less festive, since a large deposit came first and may explain part of it. Buyers in US spot Chainlink ETFs have also gone quiet since mid-October.

An Earlier Deposit Clouds Chainlink’s Outflow Signal

Analyst MorenoDV_ flagged the streak and called patient accumulation one plausible explanation. He noted that steady withdrawals leave less LINK sitting on the exchange.

The streak also came after roughly 8.7 million LINK flowed into Binance on a net basis. The analyst said the outflows may partly reflect that deposit being redistributed. He also cautioned against reading the withdrawals as proof of buying.

“For Binance, persistent negative netflows point to declining token availability. But price has continued falling, showing that this supply shift has yet to translate into sustained buying strength,” the post read.

Across all exchanges, LINK reserves have fallen back to 124.2 million, near their pre-deposit level, per CryptoQuant.

Chainlink’s US Funds Stop Drawing Fresh Money

US spot Chainlink ETFs offer a daily read on whether new buyers have stepped in. The funds have recorded no net flows for 8 straight trading days, according to SoSoValue data.

Their last move was an outflow of about $397,000 on October 16. The funds’ largest October inflow came on October 9, at $9.48 million. Total net assets fell to $209.5 million on October 28, from $249.4 million on September 28.

What Lifted Chainlink the Last Time

Without fresh buyers in the data, earlier moves this year show what it took to lift the altcoin. CryptoQuant data shows LINK exchange reserves also spiked and drained in April and June. The rally after the June episode came alongside outside catalysts.

In August, Standard Chartered set a $200 target for LINK by 2030. Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) 2.0 upgrade followed in late September, and LINK climbed above $15.

Without a similar catalyst, the calendar offers little help. CryptoRank data puts LINK’s October loss at 20.8%, and its median November return sits at -10.5%.

The Chainlink Price Map Heading Into November

With LINK at $11.34 on BeInCrypto Markets, a handful of nearby levels may set November’s tone.

Resistance at $12.30 is the upside hurdle, per analyst Crypto Tice. Support sits at $10.87, where analyst Crypto Patel said a bullish flip was confirmed. Analyst CryptoBullet’s $9.50 to $10.50 buy zone comes next. Patel’s $9.45 to $8.00 re-entry zone marks the deepest level.

MorenoDV_ said continued withdrawals, a steadier price, and stronger spot demand would make the signal constructive. If lower lows continue, he said the divergence would remain an early supply signal short of a reversal.
