TL;DR: Circle and SAP-backed Tereina plan to embed USDC and EURC payments into enterprise workflows, beginning with SAP Cloud ERP.

Stablecoin adoption inside businesses may depend on making blockchain invisible to the people approving invoices. Circle and SAP-backed Tereina announced a partnership on October 7 to incorporate USDC and EURC into Tereina’s enterprise payment infrastructure, starting with SAP Cloud ERP.

The goal is to let finance teams send and receive stablecoin payments without switching to a separate cryptocurrency application. That matters because the work around a payment — approval, reconciliation, supplier information and accounting records — can be more expensive to change than the transfer itself.

Circle supplies the digital currencies, while Tereina is building the integration into established business systems. The partners say their approach can combine traditional financial workflows with blockchain settlement. The announcement is a plan and product integration effort, not evidence that all SAP customers have activated stablecoin transfers.

For investors following USDC’s commercial footprint, the interesting metric will be repeat business usage rather than headline potential reach. How many organisations actually enable the feature? Which corridors and currencies work? Can treasury teams reconcile every movement with the same confidence as a bank payment? Those answers will determine whether this is a useful enterprise rail or another well-presented pilot.
