Analysts are not too excited about COO stock due to a couple of reasons tied to the company’s performance. COO’s annual sales growth over the past two years has been nearly 6.5%, below the industry average for healthcare companies. Additionally, its sales growth is estimated to be 4.2% for the next year, indicating tepid demand, even lower than the last two years. Its returns on capital are also below average, indicating a lack of compelling investment opportunities by management.

Analysts are neutral on COO, with the stock having a “Hold” rating overall. Among the 18 analysts covering the stock, four are recommending a “Strong Buy,” one suggests a “Moderate Buy,” 11 recommend a “Hold,” and two suggest a “Strong Sell.” COO’s average analyst price target of $65.25 indicates a 9.8% upside from current levels.
