Larry claims this strategy correctly predicted the shortterm direction of the S&P 500 83.6% of the time from 1995 to 2007.

How does it work?

The indicator activates the buy signal when the price closes above the 200-day moving average and the 2-period IFR closes below 5.

The sell signal is the opposite.

How to use it?

Enter the trade with a market order as soon as the candle closes with the buy signal.

There is no stop loss order neither take profit order.

The recommended exit is when the price closes above it's 5-period moving average.

Tip:

- Despite the author not recommending the use of a stop loss order, you can place one at the 200-period moving average just to be safe against unexpected sudden crashes and protect your capital.

The Expert Advisor does not use history stored in the database. It downloads history data online creating its own database stored in the internal memory. During the first stage, downloaded ticks are analyzed by the specified volume (CountTick) with the periodicity set by ReOptimization parameter. The Expert Advisor selects the best parameters it would have worked with if it had operated at that period. In other words, the best result is selected using the exhaustive search method. Since there are no much parameters to select from, this method is reasonable. Three internal parameters are selected for the search:

Adjusting the stack size from 1 to CountSteck.
Checking for enter (direct or inverted).
Adjusting sensitivity of a single tick, where 1.0 is a barrier reaction for the barrier's internal optimization: minimum (MinPips), change step (StepPips) and maximum (MaxPips).

The internal optimizer follows the mentioned principle and selects the settings that yielded the best results entering the market and working there till the instruction on the new internal reoptimization (ReOptimization) is received. During the first configuration of the tick history, the EA does not enter the market till the database is filled. During the next reoptimization cycle, there are no delays, since the database is updated online and is always relevant.

During the second stage, the EA enters the market using the internal optimizer's settings and the stack data. TP and SL are used to secure the position, though they may be especially important with some settings.

Risk - calculate a lot considering a deposit.
SpreadLimit - maximum acceptable spread for a market entry.
TP - desirable take profit (corrected by the EA).
SL - desirable stop loss (corrected by the EA).
CountSteck - tick stack size (max = 9).
MinPick - price tick impulse (single tick sensitivity).
StepPips - impulse series step (stack depth).
MaxPips - enter in the impulse direction/against it.
ReOptimization - iterative optimization period.
CountTick - number of ticks for analysis in the database.

The EA should be preliminarily optimized by the following parameters:

CountTick (150,50,10000).
ReOptimization (arbitrarily).
TP and SL are also possible.

Magic Number: Choose a different magic number for each expert you run so that there is no interference in position management.
Lot Settings: In this section, we will set the initial volume of the position, which generally you can use a fixed volume or a proportion of the capital.

Select the lot type: In this section, we choose whether the lot type is based on Fixed Lot or Fixed Ratio. which will be affected based on this selection of lot OR % Fixed Ratio input. And the amount of the lot will be determined, if you choose Fixed Lot, the initial lot will be the same entry. But if you have selected Fixed Ratio, it will be a ratio of this input. This ratio is determined based on the input balance - increase if Type lot = Fixed Ratio.
For example, if this input is 500 dollars and the next input is 0.01, it means that 0.01 should be selected for every 500 dollars. That is, if your capital is 2000 dollars, it will choose the initial volume of 0.04 (2000 divided by 500).
martingale Settings:
In this section, we make settings related to martingale. In fact, this section tells us the volume of the positions to be added.
Martingale type: In this entry, you can specify the volume for positions in 5 ways.

Fixed Martin: The volume of new positions is also determined by the same initial volume as the first position taken.

Multiply Martin: If you choose this method, the size of the last position will be multiplied by a factor that we set in the Multiply input. Custom Martin: With this entry, you can customize the size of each position. Using Inp custom Martingale Lot input, after setting the volume for example 0.01, just use the symbol ( ; ) to separate and set the volume of the next position.

Note that if the number of positions is greater than the number you set, the last number you entered will be set as the next volume. For example, in the example above, the volume of 6 and the last number, i.e. 0.5, will be determined.

TP Fixed: TP is calculated from the point where the profit and loss of positions becomes zero, and if you choose 20 pips for TP, it will be calculated from this point, not from the entry point of the last position.
TP Increase: In this method, the input value of InpTpIncrese_Decrease will be added to the previous TP value at each step. In fact, if InpTpPoints is 200 and InpTpIncrese_Decrease is 10. The distance of TP value from the place where the profit and loss of the positions becomes zero will be as follows.

The strategy is executed with pending orders that are automatically triggered once the price crosses the indicated levels. No Martingale or Grid trading strategies or other dangerous methods, which in the end explode your account.

The challenges I took were with the default settings except for the following points, which you need to change depending on the size of your account.

4. Position Increase Is Allowed

\"True\" means the robot can open a position, place a limit (pending) orders and market orders for increase the position volume. By default, is \"true\".
