How to Use

This indicator is best used to answer the question: \"Is this trend just starting, or is it over-extended?\"

1. Identifying Entry Points

Buy Signal: The HMA line turns Green (default). A \"Trend Up\" label appears with a Real Length of 0.
Sell Signal: The HMA line turns Orange/Red (default). A \"Trend Down\" label appears.

2. Managing Trades (The Forecast)

Look at the \"Probable Length\" label projected to the right of the price:

Early Trend: If the current \"Real Length\" (e.g., 15 bars) is significantly lower than the \"Probable Length\" (e.g., 40 bars), the trend may have strong continuation potential.
Trend Exhaustion: If the \"Real Length\" exceeds the \"Probable Length\" average, the trend is statistically over-extended, and you should tighten stops or consider taking profits.

3. Using the Dashboard

Check the table in the bottom-right corner.
If the Average Bullish Trend is 50 bars and the Average Bearish Trend is only 10 bars, the market is in a strong uptrend regime. Focus on Buy signals and be cautious with Sell signals.

Best Use / Market Conditions

Confirmed vs Current-Bar Signals

Confirmed (recommended): signals on closed candles (stable, no intrabar flipping).
Current bar (optional): signals may appear on the forming candle and can change while the candle is still open.

Trade in the direction of the trendline (uptrend = prefer longs, downtrend = prefer shorts).
Use ATR zones to judge pullbacks vs extended moves.
Use trend change arrows/alerts when the trend flips.

Usage Tutorial

Using Fixed Range Mode

After adding the indicator to the chart, set Volume Profile Mode to \"Fixed Range (VPFR)\"
\"+ Add Range\" and \"Clear All\" buttons will appear in the top-left corner
Click \"+ Add Range\" button to create a yellow dashed rectangle in the visible chart area
Drag the rectangle corners or edges to adjust the analysis range
Volume Profile will automatically be drawn within the rectangle

How the indicator works:

AW Classic MACD - Indicator of moving convergence or divergence, consists of two moving averages and a histogram.

Moving average lines:

- The blue thin line is the main fast line
- The red thick line is the signal, slow line

The indicator lines are displayed in a separate window, they are not located on the chart, moving averages move relative to zero, and not relative to current prices.

When two moving averages cross, a signal from the indicator will be received.

When the blue line is above the red one is an uptrend, the red line is above the blue one is a downtrend.

Bar graph:

- The size of the histogram increases - it means that the current trend is strengthening, while the histogram turns dark
- The size of the histogram decreases - means the end of the current dynamics, the color of the histogram changes to a lighter

The histogram shows the ratio of the indicator lines to each other. The closer the lines are to each other, the shorter the histogram line. The further the indicator lines are from each other, the longer the line in the histogram.

- The histogram is above the \"0\" mark - an upward trend
- The histogram below the \"0\" mark - a downtrend

Signals:

1. Zero Level:

- The blue line of the indicator crossed the \"0\" mark from bottom to top (that is, it was less than zero, and then became larger) - a buy signal

2. Cross Lines:

Orders execution with one click

You can open and close orders easily, using the panel. Buttons to open Market, Limit and Stop orders in both buy and sell directions are located on the Main tab, while there are multiple options to close already existing positions and cancel orders:

Automated Lot and Risk:Reward calculations

The panel has an ability to either use manual lot size but also can define it automatically based on the percent of one of the following parameters :

Balance
Equity
Free Margin
Cash Amount

It will eliminate the requirement to manually adjust lot size and will calculate it according to the defined risk parameter. Beside it, the the lot size calculation could be based on the Risk:Reward setting so you will not overcome the predefined risks and follow your risk-management ratio. It is possible the adjust both Risk to Take Profit and Risk to Stop Loss ratios so the Panel will calculate the lot according to these parameters.

Ruler on chart for risks and TP/SL visualization

To help with visualization of risks the Panel has the Lines feature that plots the Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit levels on the chart. The Lines (Ruler) feature also shows the potential Profits and Losses according to Take Profit and Stop Loss prices, so it will not be a problem anymore to evaluate the risks and rewards directly on the chart. Moreover, the Lines block could be dragged so it's applicable not only to current market conditions but to future price zones also if the price comes there.

Take Profit and Stop Loss prices can be pinned in Lines in case if you want to lock the prices at a certain level and also there is an ability to Reverse the Lines based on defined Risk:Reward to switch between buy and sell directions.

Automated breakeven

The panel has multiple features to automate the set up of the breakeven:

It will help to control the risk and to define both values (1) when to move Stop Loss to breakeven and (2) at which distance to locate it. Beside automated breakeven, there is an option to set it manually from the mini-bar on the chart when the position is opened (by pressing BE button).

Automated trailing stop

The panel has an option to maximize the profit from every trade by automated trailing stop adjustment based on the following conditions:

You can define when to start moving the trailing stop and the distance of the trailing stop also. The panel will trail it on every coming tick on the symbol.

Partial position close

When trading, it's very time consuming to manually close only part of the position if some conditions are met for it. With the mini-bar on the chart it is possible to partially close the position (press PC button) with just one click while the percentage of closing can be adjusted in the settings.

Partial take profits

If your trading strategy has partial take profits, they can be arranged with the trading panel. In the Settings tab there are located 5 presets to define the lot % to close and the distance that could be defined either automatically or manually.

All the settings that were set up in the panel are defined and saved for every single symbol separately. Also, after the restart of the MetaTrader all the settings will be loaded from the saved configurations.

Tested on EURUSDm Symbol on Micro Account created in XM Broker, but you can try it in any market or broker, any way I recommend that you use it on markets with volatility similar to EURUSD.

Some informations about the parameters of the EA:

period_mm_bb: The period of the Bollinger indicator

deviation_bb: The deviation of the Bollinger indicator

lot_value_balance_percent: the lot that EA uses is based on a percentage of the balance or equity (it will use the higher).

min_distance: the minimum distance between positions, based on points.

distanceMultiplier: a multiplier factor for distance between positions, for example if it is 1.00, the minimum distance between positions will be the min_distance value, but if it is different of 1.00 the multiplier will affect the minimum distance between the positions.

max_positions_buy_and_sell: maximum number of positions opened by the EA on each way (buy or sell / long or short), so if it is 20, the EA will open a maximum of 20 buy positions AND 20 sell positions.

take_profit: points to take profit, if you have more than one position it will calculate first the weighted average.

magic_number: the EA magic number, the EA will only use the positions with this number.

Recommendations

On 1-30 minutes timeframes is best to use it for scalping.
On 1-4 hours and Daily timeframes it can be used for swing trades and for holding a position.
Always take note of the bars(purple bars) as the can be used to show market volatility.
The right place to put you stop loss at the edge of purple bars; for buying position the SL Should be below the bars and for a selling position the SL should be above.
