NetApp Stock: Analyst Estimates & Ratings

San Jose, California-based NetApp, Inc. (NTAP) provides a range of enterprise software, systems, and services that customers use to transform their data infrastructures in the United States and internationally. The company has a market cap of $39 billion and operates through two segments, Hybrid Cloud and Public Cloud. 

NTAP stock has rallied the broader market over the past year, surging 87.1% compared to the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX21.3% surge. Moreover, in 2026, the stock has grown by nearly 85.6%, outperforming the SPX’s 13.3% rise.

Focusing on its industry benchmark, the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) has risen 40.1% over the past year, underperforming the stock. In 2026, XLK has grown 29.4% and has also lagged behind the stock.

On Aug. 6, NTAP stock rose 2.6% following its acquisition of JetStream Software, a leader in VMware disaster recovery and migration. The management expects this acquisition to expand its ability to help keep its data secure and position NetApp as a leader in enterprise resilience and data protection. With the addition of JetStream’s technology, NTAP customers will be able to protect VMware environments on any storage platform and aid in recovery using NetApp first-party storage offerings such as Azure NetApp Files. 

For the current year, which ends in April 2027, analysts expect NTAP’s EPS to increase 10.8% to $7.16 on a diluted basis. The company met or surpassed the consensus estimate in each of the last four quarters.    

Among the 21 analysts covering NTAP stock, the consensus is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on seven “Strong Buy” ratings, 13 “Holds,” and one “Strong Sell.”

The configuration has remained unchanged over the past months.

On July 17, Goldman Sachs analyst Katherine Murphy maintained a “Buy” rating for NTAP and set a price target of $200. 

NTAP’s mean price target of $178.76 is below the current market price. Its Street-high target of $202 implies a 1.7% upside from current levels.
