Micron’s stock has surged over 250% in 2026, fueled by soaring memory prices and booming AI data-center demand, particularly for its high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products. With Micron now shipping HBM4 in volume and developing HBM4E for 2027, its Sept. 30 fiscal Q4 earnings report will offer a key read on whether the AI-driven memory cycle can continue. The company expects about $50 billion in revenue, with Wall Street estimates broadly in line. Its strong track record of beating expectations has further raised expectations for another strong quarter.

On Sept. 17, Micron shares popped 6% after the company announced a $2.75 billion investment in an assembly and test facility in Sanand, Gujarat, strengthening its manufacturing footprint in India and supporting its broader AI expansion. The facility has already begun commercial operations, with its first India-produced memory modules shipped to Dell for use in laptops sold in the country. Production is expected to scale from tens of millions of chips in 2026 to hundreds of millions in 2027, positioning Micron to capture rising demand for memory and storage driven by the global AI infrastructure buildout.

Analysts are strongly bullish about MU, with the stock having a “Strong Buy” rating overall. Among the 41 analysts covering the stock, 33 are recommending a “Strong Buy,” four suggest a “Moderate Buy,” and four give it a “Hold.” MU’s average analyst price target of $1,479.67 offers a 36.7% upside potential.
