Viavi Solutions Inc. VIAV has launched the CyberFlood CF50, an all-in-one platform for testing application performance, security and artificial intelligence (AI) inference at speeds of up to 100G. The solution enables network equipment manufacturers, systems integrators, service providers and enterprises to evaluate modern network and security infrastructure before deployment.
Viavi’s CyberFlood CF50 combines Layer 4-7 traffic generation, security assessment and AI inference testing in a compact 1U appliance. It produces realistic encrypted and mixed application traffic, enabling organizations to assess network scalability, resilience and performance while evaluating the effects of security controls and AI-driven services. The system is designed to support modern environments built around encrypted applications and Zero Trust architectures.
The company’s new platform offers the industry’s lowest power consumption, native post-quantum cryptography support, and TLS performance claimed to be 1.75 times that of the nearest competitor. It also features a web-based interface that eliminates the need for an MS Windows client and supports automated goal-seeking, MITRE ATT&CK frameworks and repeatable traffic-mix testing, helping organizations conduct consistent validation across modern network and security infrastructure.
As demand grows for reliable testing of security-focused and AI-enabled infrastructure, Viavi is expanding the CyberFlood portfolio beyond the CF1000 with a more portable enterprise-scale solution. The latest product could support the company’s future growth as organizations increasingly invest in advanced networking, security and AI technologies.
How Are Competitors Advancing?
Viavi faces competition from ADTRAN Holdings, Inc. ADTN and Anterix Inc. ATEX. ADTRAN is strengthening its testing capabilities for next-generation broadband and network technologies. The company has been working on solutions to help service providers validate network performance, reliability and compatibility. ADTRAN’s portfolio includes fiber-access technologies such as XGS-PON and 10G Combo PON, helping operators to expand their high-speed broadband networks.
Anterix began testing the integration of its 900 MHz private wireless spectrum with Lynk Global’s satellite direct-to-device technology following FCC approval. The trials involve land mobile radios, smartphones, computers, routers and edge devices across multiple geographic locations. Anterix’s testing focuses on integrating satellite connectivity with private wireless networks to support communications for critical infrastructure.
