Frequently Questions

I have installed MetaTrader 5. Where can I get my login and password?

Your broker will provide you with your login, password and server details. For training purposes, you can open a demo account directly in the terminal.

What is a server and why can't I connect without it?

A server is the address/name of your broker's trading server. Even with the correct login, the connection will not work if the wrong server is selected. Check with your broker for the exact server name.

I was given an investor password — why can't I open a trade?

An investor password is usually intended for ‘view only’ mode. To trade, you need the master password.

Where can I find robots/indicators and how can I tell if they are safe?

Look in the AppStore/Market. Start with free solutions or demos/rentals, read reviews and test them on a demo account. Do not use ‘miracle robots’ without checking their logic and risks.

Why can't I see Signals or subscribe to them?

Some brokers may have limited signal services. Check with your broker's support team to see if Signals are supported for your account type.

I can't withdraw money / there are disputed charges / verification is required.

These are broker issues (payments, documents, regulations, terms). MetaTrader.com and the terminal do not manage your funds.
