Oracle Stock Outlook: Is Wall Street Bullish or Bearish?

Austin, Texas-based Oracle Corporation (ORCL) offers products and services that address enterprise information technology environments worldwide. Valued at a market cap of $518.5 billion, the company offers various cloud software applications, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning ERP, Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management EPM, and others.

ORCL shares have lagged behind the broader market over the past year, surged 24.2% compared to the S&P 500 Index ($SPX28.5% surge. Moreover, in 2026, the stock has grown nearly 85.1%, underperforming the SPX’s 6% rise as well.

Focusing on its industry benchmark, the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) has risen 53.8% over the past year, outperforming the stock. In 2026, as well, XLK surged 15% and has rallied the stock.

On Mar. 11, ORCL stock surged 9.2% following the release of its better-than-expected Q3 2026 earnings. The company’s revenue rose 22% from the prior year’s quarter to $17.2 billion and surpassed the Street’s estimates. Moreover, its adjusted EPS amounted to $1.79, also beating Wall Street’s forecasts. For the current quarter ending in May, Oracle expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.96 to $2. 

For the current year ending in May, analysts expect ORCL’s EPS to rise 38.2% year over year to $6.08. Moreover, the company has surpassed analysts’ consensus estimates in each of the past four quarters.      

Among the 43 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 33 “Strong Buy” ratings, one “Moderate Buy,” eight “Holds,” and one “Strong Sell” ratings.

The configuration has grown more bullish over the past month.

On Apr. 7, Stephens & Co. analyst Brett Huff maintained an “Equal-Weight” rating for Oracle, while also maintaining its price target of $254.

ORCL’s mean price target of $247.43 indicates a premium of 33.5% from the current market prices. Its Street-high target of $400 suggests a robust 115.8% upside potential from current price levels.
