FactSet shares soared 6.7% on Jul. 1 as Q3 2026 adjusted EPS of $4.53 beat the consensus, while organic annual subscription value (ASV) grew 7.1% to $2.49 billion, showing steady demand for its data and analytics services. Demand was supported by heightened market uncertainty, while RBC viewed the company’s decision to reaffirm rather than raise fiscal 2026 guidance as conservative and potentially setting up for an upside surprise. The strong subscription growth and earnings beat outweighed concerns about the operating-margin decline to 26.7%, driven largely by higher employee compensation costs, and broader AI-disruption.

For the fiscal year ending in August 2026, analysts expect FactSet’s adjusted EPS to grow 4.6% year-over-year to $17.76. The company’s earnings surprise history is mixed. It beat the consensus estimates in three of the last four quarters while missing on another occasion.

Among the 19 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Hold.” That’s based on three “Strong Buy” ratings, 10 “Holds,” one “Moderate Sell,” and five “Strong Sells.”
