What to Expect From Teledyne Technologies' Q3 2026 Earnings Report

With a market cap. of $28.4 billion, Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (TDY) is a diversified industrial company that provides advanced enabling technologies across a range of high-growth markets, including aerospace and defense, environmental monitoring, and medical imaging. The company operates internationally through four key segments: Digital Imaging, Instrumentation, Aerospace and Defense Electronics, and Engineered Systems.

The Thousand Oaks, California-based company is slated to announce its fiscal Q3 2026 results soon. Shares of Teledyne Technologies have gained 6.5% over the past 52 weeks, lagging behind the broader S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) nearly 16% return and the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLK) 37% increase over the same period.

Teledyne Technologies shares rose marginally on Jul. 22 after the company reported Q2 2026 adjusted EPS of $6.28 and revenue increased 9.8% year-over-year to $1.66 billion, surpassing the consensus estimates. The positive results were driven by robust demand across its Digital Imaging, Instrumentation, Aerospace and Defense segments, particularly for infrared detectors, space and airborne systems, marine unmanned systems, and counter-drone applications, alongside contributions from recent acquisitions. 

Investor sentiment was further supported by Teledyne raising its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $24.45 - $24.65 amid sustained defense and surveillance demand.

Analysts' consensus view on TDY stock remains cautiously optimistic, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Out of 11 analysts covering the stock, six recommend a "Strong Buy," one "Moderate Buy," and four "Holds." The average analyst price target is $746.82, suggesting a potential upside of 21.7% from current levels.
