DE’s stock has surged 36.8% over the past 52 weeks, outperforming the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 12.4% rise and the State Street Industrials Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLI), which returned 8.9% during the same time frame.

Deere shares have trailed the broader market amid a prolonged downturn in agricultural equipment demand, as lower crop prices, elevated farm input costs, and economic uncertainty have prompted farmers to delay major machinery purchases. Higher tariffs have also increased manufacturing costs and pressured margins, while weaker demand for large agricultural equipment has weighed on earnings and tempered the company’s outlook.

Analysts are moderately bullish on DE, with the stock having a “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Among the 23 analysts covering the stock, 12 are recommending a “Strong Buy,” two suggest a “Moderate Buy,” and nine suggest a “Hold” for the stock. DE’s average analyst price target is $691.91, indicating an 8% upside from the current levels.
