Apple’s iPhone Duo Is Likely to Deliver Growth Acceleration on the Back of Strong Demand

Apple’s (AAPL) first launch event since John Ternus took over as CEO, iPhone Duo, officially went into sale on Oct. 23. The launch already seems to be garnering strong demand, with stores facing supply shortages.

Recently, Wedbush Securities opined that the demand could be “exceptional,” with reports indicating that the “company has told its partners to boost production of the foldable smartphone.” According to DigiTimes, Apple has told Foxconn and other suppliers to “raise Duo shipments 44%, from 9.7 million to 14 million units over 12 months.”

Further, with reviews suggesting that iPhone Duo is potentially the “best foldable to ever hit the market,” AAPL stock has a strong reason to trend higher. Apple has a strong product pipeline, and the impending revenue growth from iPhone Duo makes a strong case for the stock remaining in an uptrend.

To put things into perspective, Ternus is likely to “oversee roughly 10 major new product categories during his tenure” as compared to Tim Cook’s era when three major new product categories were launched. Therefore, even as concerns persist about valuations for the technology sector, AAPL stock remains attractive.

About Apple Stock

Headquartered in Cupertino, Apple is a designer and manufacturer of smartphones, personal computers, tablets, wearables, and accessories. As an innovator with a strong brand-pull and global presence, Apple commands a market valuation of $5 trillion.

In terms of products, the iPhone is the key revenue and growth driver. For the first nine months of 2026, iPhone contributed 53.9% to the total revenue. Further, the services business contributed 25.2% of the revenue. Besides these, Apple’s other product segments included Mac, iPad, and wearables.

From a geographic perspective, Apple reported 41% of year-to-date FY26 revenue from the United States, 26.2% from Europe, 17.8% from Greater China, 6.7% from Japan, and the remainder (8.3%) from the rest of Asia Pacific.

Apple has delivered strong growth, and for Q3 FY26, revenue increased by 16.4% on a year-on-year basis to $109.4 billion. With healthy growth, a strong balance sheet, robust cash flows, and an attractive product pipeline, Apple stock has trended higher by 28.5% in the last six months.

Strong Fundamentals and Growth Visibility

With sustained growth and brand-pull for premium products, Apple is a cash flow machine. For the first nine months of FY26, the company reported operating cash flow of $117 billion. Further, the company reported almost $146.5 billion in cash and marketable securities. Robust financial flexibility provides headroom for aggressive investment in product development. At the same time, dividends and share repurchases imply continued shareholder value creation.

Besides a deep product pipeline ensuring growth visibility, it’s worth noting that Apple derives only 8.3% of revenue from the rest of Asia Pacific. There is ample scope for growth with rising standards of living in Southeast Asia and South Asia.

Apple is also focused on AI-driven devices, and that’s likely to create incremental value for consumers. It’s also likely to ensure that Apple continues to command a pricing premium for its products and services. Considering these factors, Apple remains an attractive long-term bet.
