Factors Likely to Have Shaped AMCR’s September-End Performance

Amcor’s total volume had been bearing the brunt of weak consumer demand across its key markets due to the inflationary environment. Nonetheless, Amcor is expected to have gained from the rise in e-commerce activities worldwide.

We expect 0.3% growth in volumes in the quarter. Overall price/mix benefits are expected to be a positive 0.2% for the quarter and currency impacts are likely to have added another 3.1%.

Amcor has been facing intermittent supply shortages and price volatility of certain resins and raw materials because of market dynamics and higher rates of inflation impacting other costs. The impacts of this are expected to be reflected in the company’s to-be-reported earnings results.

Our Projections for Amcor’s Segments

We expect volume for the Global Flexible Packaging Solutions segment’s September-end to be 1.4%. The price/mix and currency impacts are expected to be 0.2% and 1.8%, respectively. Our sales projection for the Global Flexible Packaging Solutions segment is pegged at $3.05 billion, indicating a 0.1% year-over-year dip. The effects of the divestments are expected to have a negative impact of 4.5%. The impacts of divestitures of non-core business in fiscal 2026 will offset gains from the Berry Global merger.

Our model estimates a 1% dip in volumes for the Global Rigid Packaging Solutions segment, and a favorable currency impact of 4.6%. Price/mix is expected to inch up 0.2% year over year. The sales projection for the segment is $2.71 billion, indicating a 0.9% year-over-year jump, including the negative impacts of divestments, estimated at 3.4%. The impacts of divestitures of non-core business in fiscal 2026 will offset gains from the Berry Global merger.
