Guidance, Outlook, Risks, and Unusual Items

Management stated that continued investment in Bajada del Palo Oeste is expected to support incorporation of additional well locations into the proved reserves base. Vista identified up to 550 new well locations in the block and had drilled and tied in 40 shale-oil wells since project inception in 2018.

The reserve estimates were prepared by DeGolyer and MacNaughton for Argentina and Netherland Sewell & Associates for Mexico. SEC reserve valuations use specified constant prices and a 10% discount rate; reported values are therefore sensitive to reserve estimates, production performance, development timing, costs, commodity prices, operating conditions, and regulatory requirements.

The filing contains customary forward-looking statement warnings. Actual results may differ because of known and unknown risks, uncertainties, and other factors described in Vista’s SEC and Mexican regulatory filings. The filing does not provide specific 2022 production, capital expenditure, revenue, earnings, debt, or liquidity guidance.

Investor Verification Checklist

  • Verify the independent reserve reports, reserve classifications, and the assumptions supporting the 181.6 MMboe proved reserve estimate.
  • Assess whether the large undeveloped reserve base can be converted into production within the stated reserves life and at expected costs.
  • Monitor Bajada del Palo Oeste well productivity, drilling and tie-in pace, infrastructure capacity, and capital requirements.
  • Review commodity-price, cost, regulatory, concession-term, and Argentina/Mexico operating risks underlying the reserve valuations.
  • Reconcile the production growth reported in this filing with subsequent financial statements, including realized prices, revenue, margins, operating cash flow, debt, and liquidity.
