Do Wall Street Analysts Like Blackstone Stock?

New York-based Blackstone Inc. (BX) is an alternative asset management firm specializing in private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge fund solutions, credit, secondary funds of funds, public debt and equity and multi-asset class strategies. The company has a market cap of $91.4 billion and invests in early-stage, seed, middle-market, mature, late-stage venture, growth capital, emerging-growth, turnaround, and later-stage companies. 

Shares of the company have lagged behind the broader market over the past year and in 2026. BX stock has declined 9.8% over the past 52 weeks and 20.4% on a YTD basis. In comparison, the S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has returned 28.5% over the past year and risen 6% in 2026.

Narrowing the focus, BX has also underperformed the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF), which rose 4.4% over the past 52 weeks and its 5.8% decrease this year.

On Apr. 23, BX stock declined marginally following the release of its Q1 2026 earnings. The company’s revenue amounted to $3.6 billion and surpassed the Street’s estimates. Moreover, its adjusted EPS came in at $1.36 and also surpassed Wall Street’s forecasts. 

For the current year ending in December, analysts expect BX’s EPS to increase 6.1% year over year to $5.91. Moreover, the company has surpassed analysts’ consensus estimates in each of the past four quarters.    

Among the 22 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on nine “Strong Buy” ratings, three “Moderate Buy,” eight “Holds,” and two “Strong Sell” ratings.

The configuration has grown more bullish over the past month.

On Apr. 27, Piper Sandler analyst Crispin Love maintained a “Hold” rating for BX stock and increased its price target from $122 to $130.

BX’s mean price target of $145.95 indicates a premium of 18.9% from the current market prices. Its Street-high target of $190 suggests a robust 54.8% upside potential from current price levels.
