Pentair has underperformed due to a sharper-than-expected inventory correction and ongoing destocking in its pool channel, which forced management to lower its full-year sales and earnings guidance significantly. The company’s pool segment has also suffered from market share losses to major peers, raising concerns that relying on pricing actions will squeeze profit margins if volume growth fails to rebound.
