Comcast Stock Has an Attractive Valuation and Offers a Dividend Yield of 6.32%

Recently, Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang reiterated that the “AI bubble fears are overdone.” Jensen also opined that the “demand for AI infrastructure will continue to outrun the supply of components for years to come.” While this view might be true, it makes sense to pursue some diversification to sectors and stocks that have been depressed for an extended period.

One name that deserves attention is Comcast (CMCSA). CMCSA stock has been in a downtrend over the last five years and trades at attractive valuations. Further, the stock offers a dividend yield of 6.32%, and dividends are sustainable considering the cash flow profile.

It’s therefore not surprising that Comcast stock has seen buying interest. In Q2, the Greenlight Capital fund added several new long positions, including Comcast.

In terms of potential catalysts, the plan to separate media and technology businesses into two public companies can unlock value. In June, Comcast announced its intention to create Comcast and NBCUniversal as independent entities. After this potential transaction, Comcast will continue to focus on building the connectivity business. Further, NBCUniversal will focus on positioning itself as a key global media and entertainment company.

About Comcast Stock

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Comcast is a global media and technology company. Comcast delivers broadband, wireless, video, and voice services primarily under the Xfinity, Comcast Business, Sky, and NOW brands.

The company also produces, distributes, and streams leading entertainment, sports, and news through brands including NBC, Telemundo, Universal, Peacock, and Sky. Further, Comcast owns and operates the Universal theme parks.

The company's business is divided into two segments: Connectivity & Platforms and Content & Experiences. For Q2 FY26, the C&P segment reported revenue and EBITDA of $19.8 billion and $8 billion, respectively. For the same period, the C&E segment reported revenue and EBITDA of $10.7 billion and $1.3 billion, respectively.

Comcast is attractive from a cash flow perspective. For Q2 FY26, the company reported operating cash flow of $8.1 billion. This implies an annualized OCF potential of $32.4 billion and provides high flexibility for capex and returns of capital to shareholders. CMCSA stock has, however, remained depressed with negative returns of 23.5% in the last six months.

Connectivity & Platforms Remains Key Cash Flow Driver

For Q2 FY26, the C&P segment reported an adjusted EBITDA margin of 40.4%. In comparison, the C&E business adjusted EBITDA margin was 12.1%. Once the business separation is completed, the connectivity and platforms business can unlock significant value. It’s, however, worth noting that both entities will command an investment-grade balance sheet.

Within the content & experiences business, the positive is that the media segment reported 25.3% year-on-year growth in revenue for Q2. For the same period, studios also reported 25% revenue growth. The theme parks segment revenue growth was, however, subdued at 2.7%. The growth in media and studios is a clear indication of the potential the business holds, and as financial flexibility increases after business separation, value creation is likely.

Overall, Comcast has taken measures to simplify the business structure and allow individual segments to flourish independently. At current valuations, CMCSA stock looks attractive considering the impending business developments.

What Do Analysts Say About CMCSA Stock?
