Here's What to Expect From GE HealthCare’s Next Earnings Report

With a market cap of $31.5 billion, GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. (GEHC) is a global medical technology company that develops and manufactures advanced diagnostic imaging equipment, ultrasound systems, patient monitoring devices, and pharmaceutical diagnostics products. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the company provides technologies and AI-powered digital solutions that help healthcare professionals diagnose diseases, guide treatments, and monitor patients.

The company is expected to announce its fiscal Q3 2026 results before the market opens on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Ahead of this event, analysts forecast GEHC to report an adjusted EPS of $1.21, up 13.1% from $1.07 in the year-ago quarter. It has exceeded Wall Street's earnings estimates in three of the past four quarters, while missing on another occasion.

Shares of GE HealthCare have dipped 7% over the past 52 weeks, lagging behind the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 14.5% gain and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLV) 24.2% return over the same period.

GE HealthCare has trailed behind the broader market over the past year as sluggish organic sales growth, softer demand expectations, and mounting cost pressures have weighed on investor sentiment. Despite its broad portfolio of medical imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, diagnostic pharmaceuticals, and AI-powered healthcare solutions, the company has struggled to accelerate growth, with its adjusted operating margin declining by 1.7 percentage points over the past five years as costs outpaced revenue.

On the bright side, on Oct. 20, GE HealthCare announced a global clinical evaluation program for its next-generation StarGuide GX digital 4D SPECT/CT system across five leading medical institutions in the U.S., Israel, France, and China. The program will assess imaging quality, quantitative performance, and workflow efficiency, with the goal of advancing nuclear medicine research and precision cancer care.

Analysts' consensus view on GEHC stock is cautiously optimistic, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Among 22 analysts covering the stock, 12 suggest a "Strong Buy," three give a "Moderate Buy," and seven recommend a "Hold." The average analyst price target for GE HealthCare is $82.48, indicating a potential upside of 17.4% from the current levels.
