Can Core Growth Help CPAY Sustain Its Strong Revenue Momentum?

Corpay’s CPAY second-quarter 2026 revenue bridge shows that core growth remained the biggest driver of the year-over-year increase. Revenue rose 21% to $1.34 billion from $1.1 billion in the prior-year quarter. The bridge indicates that the improvement was broad-based, with core growth, macro factors and acquisitions all contributing, while divestiture activity provided a partial offset.

Core Growth Leads the Revenue Expansion

Core growth added $118 million to second-quarter revenues, exceeding the contributions from the other positive drivers. This suggests that the underlying business played a central role in Corpay’s revenue increase rather than the gain being driven primarily by acquired operations or external conditions.

The size of the core-growth contribution is particularly notable when viewed alongside the other components. Acquisitions added $78 million, while macro factors contributed $67 million. The acquisition contribution indicates that portfolio additions provided an incremental lift, while the macro contribution added another layer of support. That mix broadens the quarter's revenue base.

At the same time, divestiture activity reduced revenue by $27 million. This drag partially offset the gains from the three positive contributors, but it did not prevent Corpay from reaching $1.34 billion in second-quarter revenues.

Peer View

Among U.S.-listed peers, WEX WEX and Global Payments GPN offer useful reference points for Corpay’s payments exposure. WEX operates across mobility, benefits and corporate payments, including fleet-payment and B2B-payment solutions. Global Payments provides payment technology, merchant acceptance and related software and services across a broad customer base.

For investors assessing Corpay’s revenue progression, WEX can frame trends in specialized business payments, while Global Payments offers context for broader transaction and commerce-related demand. Their differing business mixes also help show how revenue growth can reflect company-specific execution alongside broader payments activity, giving Corpay’s quarterly bridge a useful industry context for investors tracking performance.
