The algorithm is used on candlestick or bar charts providing Open, Close, High, Low data for each candlestick or bar.

An \"Outside Bar\" occurs when a bar closes above the High of the previous bar (for LONG trades, vice versa for SHORTS).
An \"Inside Bar\" occurs when a bar closes below the High of the \r\nprevious bar and above the Low of the previous bar, inside the range of \r\nthe previous Outside Bar (for LONG trades, vice versa for SHORTS).

The idea is to relax the trailing stop price as soon as an InsideBar \r\noccurs and momentum slows down. You give a subordinated trend the chance\r\n to correct in price without being stopped out. In comparison to \r\ntraditional trailing stop where you put the stop below/above the \r\nprevious candle this method generates incredible results.

\r\n

Stop values are adjusted as soon as a bar has closed, beginning with the bar after the Start Bar (Open of the third bar).

Long trades

\r\n

As soon as a bar is complete the system determines whether it is a \r\nnew Outside Bar. If that is the case the trailing stop is set to the Low\r\n of that bar. Delta-Parameter

As M. Voigt suggests the trailing stop algorithm uses a fix \"delta\" \r\nvalue (Input Parameter) that is added to or subtracted from the High and\r\n Low values of the bars to determine stop levels and Outside/Inside \r\nBars.

Example: You are using the InsideBarStop in Long direction on the US \r\nSPX 500 index and set the Input Parameter \"delta\" to the value \"2.0\". \r\nThe trailing stop values will be set 2 points below the Lows of the \r\nbars. A new Outside Bar will be detected only if a bar closes more that 2\r\n points above the High of the current Outside Bar.

This mechanism is used to reduce the impact of market noise and prevents from being stopped out by slightly new highs or lows.

Initial Stop

\r\n

InsideBarStop allows high flexibility by letting you set the bar for \r\nthe initial stop relative to the initial bar. The initial bar is the \r\ncurrent bar when starting the expert or indicator. Depending on the \r\nactual chart pattern you can set the bar that defines the initial stop \r\nby its Low (LONG) or High (SHORT). Voigt suggests to use the minimum of \r\nthe Low of the initial bar and the Low of the previous bar as initial \r\nstop for LONGS and the maximum of the High of the initial bar and the \r\nHigh of the previous bar for SHORTS.

In contrast to that InsideBarStop lets you set the distinct High or Low of any distinct bar preceding the initial bar.

BookMap Heatmap save and recover historical data using local encrypted files. It can limit the number of minutes that DOM is displayed to avoid a lot of objects on screen (performance reasons), and display Other Symbol BID/ASK. BID/ASK can be based on MarketStatistics (Symbol information) or DOM information. When using DOM information, you can select Min Volume (best price of volume>=Minimal Volume) or Sum Volume (Mean price where volume>=Minimal Volume). These 3 options are important when using Other Symbol (futures/fraction share).

You can understand what market maker (liquidity) did and what values are \"support\" and \"resistance\" at liquidity easily using it with Volume At Price, this should be the best solution to scalper traders.

Inside bars are completely engulfed by its previous bar. The pattern is also known as \"harami\" (pregnant). Outsidebars engulf the previous bar.

Inside bars might mark situations before an outbreak. They are a condensed form of a symmetrical triangle. Symmetrical triangles represent a battle between bulls and bears. There can be an outbreak to either side, mostly the outbreak is in direction of the main trend.

- Or use fixed Risk:Reward (e.g., 1:1.5 or 1:2).
Dynamic Exit Rule:
- Exit early if price closes above Middle BB (invalidates sell).
- Exit if OBV turns upward (OBV_now > OBV_prev → money flow back to buying).

Risk Management

Risk 1–2% max per trade.
Limit to 1 trade per timeframe per day to avoid overtrading.
