General Description

In the simplest terms this is a contrarian intra-day scalping system. Built to try and let correct trades run as far as possible and flip the trade when indicated. The indicator looks at historical daily trading ranges to lay out levels at which it takes long and short positions based on the statistical levels.

The indicator is built around index futures, mainly around S&P and the DOW but can be used an any futures contract mainly using AMP Futures to trade. The indicator is based on a statistical math equation so it should function on any underlying that is a tradeable instrument such as crypto, forex, stocks, futures, even binary options could be interesting.

I believe the optimal time frame is 15min but I have used the 5min as well

How do I trade it?

The idea here is that the levels indicate reversal trading levels (please refer to the attached image of the levels) at which the underlying price might revert. Below I will try to run through a few scenarios on how the system should be traded.

Trading Off The Levels: Entry and Initial Stop Loss

+LVL 2 Stop Loss (dashed red line) = set a stop loss at this level for any short trade entered at +LVL 2 line
+LVL 2 Short Entry (solid magenta line) = enter a short position when the price has a close above the level and retraces and either touches or passes through, usually by placing a sell stop at the level once a bar close has happened above the level
+LVL 1 Stop Loss (dashed red line) = set a stop loss at this level for any short trade entered at +LVL 1 line
+LVL 1 Short Entry (solid magenta line) = enter a short position when the price has a close above the level and retraces and either touches or passes through, usually by placing a sell stop at the level once a bar close has happened above the level
Opening Price (fat dashed white line) = this is the first tick of the session and is a good point to aim to take profits on all trades, or at least move stops to once a profit level has been reached
-LVL 1 Long Entry (solid cyan line) = enter a long position when the price has a close below this level and retraces and either touches or passes through, usually by placing a buy stop at the level once a bar close has happened below the level
-LVL 2 Long Entry (solid cyan line) = enter a long position when the price has a close below this level and retraces and either touches or passes through, usually by placing a buy stop at the level once a bar close has happened below the level
Long Trade Stop Loss (dashed red line) = all long trades are to have a hard stop loss at this level

Take Profits and Moving Stop Losses

The initial stop loss for each trade can be set at the actual level, but if you are watching the trade actively you could opt to use a candle close crossing the stop loss line instead of a touch the line exit
Move your stop loss, change the stop loss after the price has reached the mid-point, or opening tick line. For example, if you are long on the -LVL 2 and long on the -LVL 1 levels, you are hold 2 lots and the price goes all the way up to mid-point/open price, you should then move the stop loss to the -LVL 1 line and continue to move the stop loss up one level as the price moves in or direction, be ready to flip the trade when the upper levels are breached.
Take profits on a moved stop loss or lock in profits ASAP when price reaches mid-point

Scalping Range Indicator Settings

Use With EA (Keep False): keep this false
Max Chart Data Pull: this is how far back the EA will calculate the levels, increase this number to widen the levels and have less but possibly more accurate trade set ups
Trading Session Lookback: this setting determines the daily session range lookback, larger numbers increase the number of sessions that it pulls to determine the levels
Trading Session Open/Close: this is a time setting, telling the system when to start trading, close positions, and when create the daily trading range. This is set for CST/Chicago for trading the index futures translated to CST it is 5:00pm to 4:55pm

Le signal de vente est représenté par des drapeaux rouges, le signal d'achat est représenté par des drapeaux bleus.

Le temps d'exécution de l'horaire présumé est écrit sur chaque drapeau. À l'intérieur de chaque horaire, il y a des informations sur les points que le prix devrait traverser selon les calculs. Si il y a très peu de points, alors cet horaire est ignoré. Les horaires dupliqués de la même couleur renforcent le signal. Dans ce cas, vous devez chercher un meilleur point d'entrée autour de celui-ci.

L'efficacité maximale du travail avec les horaires est de 2 à 3 semaines financières du mois. Mais cela ne signifie pas que les horaires ne fonctionnent pas au début et à la fin du mois. Au cours de la première et de la dernière semaine du mois, il y a plus de fluctuations sur le marché. Par conséquent, le déclenchement des horaires peut être retardé.

Les nouvelles qui affectent considérablement le marché peuvent également affecter le déclenchement des horaires.

Pour un fonctionnement optimal des horaires, quelques ajustements doivent être apportés au terminal MT5. Allez dans Service - Paramètres - Graphiques - \"Nombre maximal de barres dans la fenêtre\" et sélectionnez \"Illimité\".

Usage

Add the currency map with Display_Mode input set to the default of 'Map - All Currencies'. Each currency is colored differently and a panel at the side shows which. Look for changes in direction and pair with the best currency that is moving opposite. Favour trading on currency pairs that have at least one major currency, such as EUR, USD or GBP, as will give a better spread are generally bigger movement. You only need one currency map per time frame you wish to trade. The chart symbol doesn't matter - just the chart period.

For the currency strength, add this to each symbol you wish to trade by setting the Display_Mode input to 'Strength - Chart Currencies'. This displays chart's base and counter currencies, colored cyan and magenta, respectively. The histogram shows the gap between the currencies, which gives the overall strength. The histogram is colored green of buy and red for sell. Trade when histogram goes above 25. By default you will get an alert when a symbol reaches that level.

Trade when the map looks good and currency strength has confirmed.

Tips

You can use Display_Mode input set to 'Map - Chart Currencies' to add the map to individual charts, i.e. just for the base and counter currencies of the chart's symbol. In this case, the histogram will show the overall slope of the two lines, which should be moving in opposite directions. Again green is used to signify buy and red for sell. This will allow you make sure the map agrees with the currency strength.
For the currency map, look for change of direction in at least one currency that happened from the overbought/oversold (75/25) area.
Remember, avoid trading obscure currency pairs like NZDCHF. If the map shows those are the currencies that are moving then stay away or try a different time frame.
Never trade currencies that are moving together, i.e. in same direction on the map.

Note, when first add indicator to chart then may take 10-30 seconds to stabilize as will be getting information of all 28 currency pairs. After that only live candle will repaint. By default we alert on the closed candle values, controlled by input Alerts_Shift.

Les triangles symétriques ne sont pas toujours parfaitement symétriques et le prix peut s'effondrer ou baisser, mais généralement les cassures les plus réussies sont dans la direction du haut ou du bas qui a formé le premier point du triangle. L'indicateur nous donne donc un biais haussier ou baissier pour la cassure et est codé par couleur et alerte pour cette direction spécifique. Il n'est pas nécessaire de prendre le commerce dans une seule direction, car une cassure dans les deux sens est possible, mais lorsque la cassure se produit conformément à la tendance des premiers points, vous avez tendance à obtenir un mouvement de prix plus important et plus rapide et une meilleure récompense du risque.

STRATÉGIE ET COMMENT ÉCHANGER DES TRIANGLES SYMÉTRIQUES :

Il existe de nombreuses façons d'utiliser des motifs triangulaires symétriques, mais les stratégies les plus courantes sont décrites ci-dessous.

1. Utilisez une moyenne mobile (souvent la 200EMA) et ne faites que des pauses des triangles en ligne avec la direction de la tendance des délais. Choisissez de ne prendre que des triangles de la bonne couleur (haussier ou baissier) ou négociez tous ceux qui cassent dans le sens de la tendance.

2. Utilisez la direction de la tendance de la période la plus élevée et n'entrez que dans cette direction. Des triangles symétriques se forment souvent après que le prix a fortement poussé dans une direction. Ils se forment lorsque le prix \"s'arrête\" après le mouvement initial et cassera généralement dans la même direction que le mouvement de départ. C'est pourquoi nous avons un biais haussier ou baissier sur les triangles dessinés sur le graphique. Le rapport risque/récompense et la force des ruptures en ligne avec la tendance initiale sont souvent bien meilleurs.

3. Négociez chaque triangle dans les deux sens avec des ordres en attente aux points 3 et 4. Il n'est pas rare que le prix se brise, puis testez à nouveau la zone du triangle avant d'inverser la direction opposée (nouvelle contraction ou consolidation avant le mouvement) avec quelques Obliger. Vous pouvez en profiter avec les commandes en attente définies aux points 3 et 4 du triangle, ce qui signifie que vous capturez le mouvement au fur et à mesure qu'il se déroule dans les deux sens.

HOW TO \"READ\" THIS INDICATOR

GREEN color: UPTREND.
RED color: DOWNTREND.
GRAY color: SIDEWAYS.
Does this indicator repaint? No, when used in real-time mode, i.e. Live Trading. When the indicator is applied to past bars (i.e., reopening MT5) the bars are repainted to show the last status of each bar based on their last OHLC data, which could be slightly different from the Live market data but really it doesn't matter so much since our recommendation is to NOT use this indicator as a Trigger and instead, use it as a Confirmation tool.
Obviously that are thousands of assets around the globe to trade, so if it fits, you can use it as a Trigger indicator if your backtests confirm this ability. Example given: Scalping in intraday trading.

Open > Mid_line + Low < Mid_line this means that the opening price is higher than the average line of the \"BB\" indicator and the minimum price is less than the average line of the \"BB\" indicator.
Tenkan > Kijun + Chinkou + Kumo + Close > Kumo it means that a \"golden cross\" has formed on the Ichimoku indicator, confirmed by the Chinkou line and the color of the cloud, the closing price is higher than the cloud.

The indicator has a table to keep track of other instruments and time periods.
The table can be dragged with the mouse.
The size of the table depends on the font size selected in the settings.
Clicking on the selected rectangle of the table changes the instrument and/or time period or opens a new chart window.
If Current_Chart is selected in the New_Chart_or_Current_Chart setting, then the time period and instrument will be changed to those that correspond to the selected rectangle.
If New_Chart is selected in the New_Chart_or_Current_Chart setting, then a new window will be opened with a chart whose time period and instrument correspond to the selected rectangle.
In the Template_name_for_New_Chart setting, you can specify a chart template with which a new window will be opened.

Block size (in points) - size of the kenko block in points (or pipettes). Default = 200 (equivalent to 20 pips). You can increase or decrease it according to the volatility of the instrument you're studying, or the timeframe you're using.

Number of history candles in use - number of candles to analyse when the indicator is launched. When you insert the indicator it will draw the kenko blocks over this number of candles on the chart. Then, as the market moves, more blocks will be drawn. Default = 1000. You can increase it to have more blocks in on the chart, or you can decrease it to save computer processing power and resources.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- when you close and re-open your MetaTrader, or you lose your internet connection for a while and the market has moved, please remove and re-insert the indicator to update the blocks.
