Murrey Math Lines

The concept of this technical analysis system was developed by T. Henning Murrey in 1995 and described in The Murrey Math Trading System; For All Markets. The main concept here is that all markets behave in the same manner based upon the observations made by W.D. Gann. To date, the Murrey Math Line X it is one the most popular methods of Forex analysis and trading.

Formula

The Murrey Math Line X is calculated with the help of price movement segment, which, in accordance to Gann, is divided into 9 sections. So, the indicator makes 9 levels in the proportion of 0%, 12.5%, 25%, 37.5%, 50%. 62.5%, 75%. 87.5%, and 100%.

Trading use

The Murrey Math Line X is a complex indicator, which may be applied independently or together with other methods of technical analysis. It has become popular in Russia.

The indicator contains several lines from 0/8 to 8/8. Every line has its own operating conditions. Some of them act as points of price support and resistance, the other ones, as a magnets for price.

Line 1/8. This is a weak line. If a price declines too fast and stops near this line, there is a high possibility that it will reverse upwards. If a price does not stop near this line, it will continue moving to the 0/8 line.

Lines 2/8 and 6/8. These two lines are very strong levels of resistance and support and are inferior only to the 4/8 line in their ability to reverse the price movement.

Line 3/8. If a price is below this line and goes up, so it will be difficult for it to break this level. If a price hits the level of 3/8 and stays there for two trading weeks, so it will stay above the line and spend some time moving in the 3/8-5/8 corridor.

Line 4/8. This is a key line; it provides the best support or resistance.

Line 5/8. If a price moves around the 5/8 line and stays near this line for about two trading weeks, so the best selling level is between the 3/8 and 5/8 lines. In case a price falls below the 5/8 line, it will probably will drop further until the next resistance level.

Line 7/8. This is the weakest resistance/support level. If a price slides too fast and stops at this level, it is likely to reverse downwards. In case a price does not stop near the line, it will move up to the 8/8 line.

Lines 8/8 and 0/8. These are the strongest levels; they provide great resistance and support.

Comment définir correctement le paramètre GMT dans les paramètres de l'EA ?

Ce paramètre définit la différence entre l'heure du terminal et l'heure GMT. Pour déterminer l'heure du terminal, ouvrez la \"fenêtre de données\" dans votre terminal et dans l'en-tête de cette fenêtre vous verrez l'heure, disons que c'est 11:05:21. Button to switch between Simple Profile/Delta Profile.
Buttons \"Heatmap\" and \"Fiboscale\" allows you to show/hide the Heatmap and Fibonacci retracement accordingly. After cheking click \"Redraw\" button!
Button to show \"FVG\" (fair value gap or imbalance).
Buttons \"+\", \"-\" and \"R\". These are the buttons to increase/decrease and reset the gradient value for the heatmap. A useful thing when you need to display volumes peaks more expressively.
Button \"Navigate\". When you have lost the indicator somewhere - just click and the chart will move to a rectangle.

IMPORTANT SETTINGS:

TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS:

The work of the indicator is related to the processing of a large amount of data. Namely, information about the volumes. Therefore, the indicator needs time to download data (tick history) from your broker's server and to complete the calculations. It usually takes 1-3 seconds (with ping ~40ms).
The indicator’s range window will update the data only when it is completely on the visible part of the chart.
At the moment, we have implemented only the processing of tick volumes. And in the next updates we will add the ability to work with real volumes.
In this version of the indicator, it is possible to work with only one “range window”. We are considering adding more of these “windows” in future updates. We do not recommend more than one instance of the indicator per chart!

What to do if the indicator does not show anything?

This can happen when the indicator is first launched on a trading chart. Perhaps the indicator has not yet downloaded the required data from the broker. Wait a couple of seconds and click the \"Redraw\" button on the panel. And it should work.

Also, the indicator may not display anything, or display partially if there is simply no data for calculation. This can happen if you use the indicator on a deep history. This means that your broker's server does not save tick information for this time range.

It is useful for trader to identify the Market Condition based on the Stochastic Indicator. Faster to find stochastic condition from Multi Symbols and Timeframes on the single chart.

For Example: You want to get the reversal price of certain symbol then use Mode SIgnal and see on the dashboard to find at least 3 signals with the same direction or set the parameter input the Minimum Total TFs to alert/symbol=3 as default, so it will alert you when the condition is fulfilled. Strategies for working with the trading system:

1. High profit.

Orders are opened at each arrow of the signal. The entire grid of orders is closed as soon as an opposite signal appears.

At this moment, you can open a reverse order.

2. Low risk.

Orders are opened only on the accompanying trend.

For example, if the arrow is green and the trend color is also green, you can open a buy order.

Definition:

Stop hunting, also known as stop running, is the practice of institutional traders (smart money) of driving the price to a certain level in order to fill large trading volumes through the many stops that are there.

Strategy:

\"Stop Hunting\" is when the wick of a candle extends above a previous 3 Bar Fractal Candle, but the candle body stays below that 3 Bar Fractal High. Many stops are fetched in this resistance zone:

a) Breakout traders go long above resistance and put their stop below it.
b) Range traders go short below resistance and put their stop above it.

So that both traders create buy positions above the resistance and sell positions below it.
Therefore, you should wait for these stop-hunter candles and then enter in the direction of the arrow, in this case short.

The target can be a lower resistance line or slightly under it to engage yourself in stop hunting.

Vice versa on the green arrows, the previous candle was a stop hunting candle, whose low was below the previous low of a 3 Bar Fractal Candle, but the body is above the fractal low. The expectation is that the price will move up. As with all entry signals, there are no guarantees.
