How Is FedEx’s Stock Performance Compared to Other Logistics Stocks

FedEx Corporation (FDX) is a Memphis, Tennessee-based global logistics conglomerate providing transportation, e-commerce, and business services worldwide. Founded by Frederick W. Smith, it operates segments including FedEx Express, Ground, and Supply Chain, employing a vast workforce across international markets. The company has a market capitalization of $73.18 billion

The stock had reached a 52-week high of $345.36 on June 15, but is down 10.5% from that level. FedEx’s stock slipped 6.8% over the past three months as investors digest margin pressure, cautious guidance, and corporate restructuring, underperforming the ProShares Supply Chain Logistics ETF’s (SUPL) 3.5% decline over the same period.

Over the longer term, this underperformance fades. Over the past 52 weeks, FedEx’s stock has been up by 71.2%, while it has gained 33.8% year-to-date. Meanwhile, the ProShares Supply Chain Logistics ETF has risen 21.5% over the past 52 weeks and 15.7% YTD. FedEx’s stock has traded above its 200-day moving average since October 2025 but has recently dropped below its 50-day moving average.

After the planned spinoff of its freight business into a separate company, namely, FedEx Freight Holding Company, Inc. (FDXF), the company is still trying to streamline its business by moving its packages through a smaller network. This has led to the shutdown of some U.S. locations as part of a broader restructuring that combines parts of its Express and Ground operations into Network 2.0.

This has driven sentiment, alongside its Q4 FY2026 (quarter ended May 31) results. The company’s revenue increased by 13% year-over-year (YOY) to $25.01 billion. However, because costs rose faster as the company pursued its restructuring, EPS fell 4% YOY to $6.60.

We compare FedEx’s performance with that of another integrated freight and logistics company, United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS), which has gained 17.6% over the past 52 weeks and marginally YTD. Therefore, FedEx has been the clear outperformer over these periods.

Wall Street analysts are moderately bullish on FedEx’s stock. The 28 analysts covering it have a consensus rating of “Moderate Buy.” The mean price target of $356.42 suggests 15.3% upside from current levels. The Street-high price target of $479 indicates a 54.9% upside.
