Are Wall Street Analysts Bullish on Comcast Stock?

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Comcast Corporation (CMCSA) is a global media and technology company. The company provides broadband, wireless, video, and business connectivity services through its Xfinity and Comcast Business brands. Its portfolio also includes NBCUniversal, which operates television networks such as NBC and Telemundo, streaming platform Peacock, Universal Pictures film studios, and Universal theme parks. Comcast also owns Sky, a major European entertainment and broadband provider. With a market capitalization of $79 billion, its businesses span telecommunications, digital media, entertainment, advertising, and theme park experiences.

Comcast has been a notable laggard in the market, with shares declining 15% over the past year, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 11.1%. The selloff has deepened in 2026, with the stock shedding 22.3% year to date, while the broader index has gained 10.7%.

Narrowing the comparison, CMCSA has also underperformed the iShares U.S. Telecommunications ETF (IYZ), which has gained 17.6% over the past year. The stock has continued to trail the ETF’s 13.2% rise on a year-to-date basis.

On Oct. 22, Comcast delivered a mixed third-quarter performance, as strong growth in streaming and entertainment helped offset continued weakness in its core broadband business. Revenue declined 6.1% year over year to $29.30 billion, while adjusted EBITDA fell 5.8% to $9.11 billion. Adjusted EPS slipped 4% to $1.07.

Overall, streaming, wireless and studio growth provided some relief, but broadband subscriber losses and weaker theme park performance remained key challenges. Comcast generated $4.21 billion in free cash flow during the quarter and continues to advance its planned separation of NBCUniversal and Sky into an independent company.

For the current fiscal year, ending in December 2026, analysts expect CMCSA’s EPS to decrease 17.9% to $3.54 on a diluted basis. The company’s earnings surprise history is impressive. It beat the consensus estimate in each of the last four quarters.

Among the 30 analysts covering CMCSA stock, the consensus is a “Hold.” That’s based on nine “Strong Buy” ratings, 16 “Hold,” and five “Strong Sell.”

This consensus is bearish than two months ago when the stock had an overall “Moderate Buy” rating.

Freedom Broker maintained a “Hold” rating on Comcast but lowered its price target to $25 from $29 on Oct. 26, a 13.8% reduction.

The mean price target of $28.20 represents a 21.4% premium to CMCSA’s current price levels. The Street-high price target of $44 suggests an ambitious upside potential of 89.5%.
