GE Vernova has outperformed because the rapid expansion of AI data centers has sharply increased demand for reliable electricity, boosting orders for its natural gas turbines and grid infrastructure equipment, including transformers and switchgear. Its strong order growth, expanding backlog and long-term turbine slot reservations have strengthened revenue visibility and cash generation, while the acquisition of Prolec has further expanded its electrification business and equipment capacity.

Higher demand for gas power and grid modernization, combined with improved financial forecasts and increased shareholder returns, has reinforced its position as a key supplier to the AI-driven power infrastructure boom.

For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect GEV’s EPS to decline 8.8% year-over-year to $16.13. The company's earnings surprise history is mixed. It topped the consensus estimates in three of the last four quarters while missing on another occasion.

Among the 30 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 22 “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” five “Holds,” and one “Strong Sell.”

The mean price target of $1,195.41 represents a 55.1% premium to GEV’s current price levels. The Street-high price target of $1,424 suggests a 84.8% potential upside.
