Shares of People Inc. ( PPLI) jumped 11.3% following a Wall Street Journal report that MGM Resorts International ( MGM) is considering acquiring the company. Akamai Technologies Inc.’s ( AKAM) shares gained 3.2% after entering a seven-year power deal with AI giant Anthropic for $11.6 billion. Shares of Scholastic Corp. ( SCHL) tumbled 7.1% after posting first-quarter fiscal 2027 adjusted loss of $3.63 per share, wider than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $3.42 per share.
