5 Must-See Earnings Charts This Week

We’re in the thick of third quarter earnings season now. The large banks like JPMorgan Chase kicked it off last week. Over 300 companies are going to report earnings this week including about 15% of the S&P 500.

There are still going to be more bank earnings but this week we’re hearing from two of the Magnificent 7 companies in Tesla and Meta Platforms.

Additionally, we’ll begin to hear from the energy companies, including the refiners, who are expected to have record earnings this quarter on record high crack spreads.

The AI Revolution Stocks Will Be in Focus This Week

Let’s not leave out the AI Revolution stocks. They will begin reporting this week and the key thing to watch will be forward guidance.

Is this peak earnings for the AI infrastructure companies? Or will AI spending continue at this rapid pace in 2027?

5 Must-See Earnings Charts This Week

1. Tesla, Inc. (TSLA)

Tesla has an inconsistent earnings surprise track record. It had a big earnings miss last quarter but investors don’t care if Tesla misses or beats.

However, shares of Tesla are down 16.5% year-to-date. It’s the worst performing Magnificent 7 stock in 2026. Earnings are only expected to rise 1.8% this year.

Will Tesla turn it around and beat this quarter?

2. Meta Platforms, Inc. (META)

Meta Platforms has a good earnings surprise track record with just three misses in the last five years. However, one of those earnings misses was last quarter. The other two were in 2022.

Shares of Meta Platforms are up 7.8% year-to-date after it launched its Muse AI agent which has had millions of downloads on the app stores.

Will Meta Platforms get back on track with an earnings beat this quarter?

3. Valero Energy Corp. (VLO)

Valero Energy is maker of petroleum products through 14 refineries in the U.K., the U.S. and Canada. It has beat on earnings seven quarters in a row.

Earnings are expected to rise 387.9% in 2026 on record high crack spreads on refined products like diesel. Valero is cheap, with a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) of 8.6. A P/E under 10 is considered to be a deep value.

Shares of Valero are at 5-year highs, up 166% year-to-date.

Does Valero have more gas in the tank?

4. Western Digital Corp. (WDC)

Western Digital is a data storage company which is now an AI Revolution stock. It has only missed twice in the last five years and those misses were in 2022 and 2023.

Shares of Western Digital are down 21% in the last month as the AI stocks have sold off. It’s attractively priced on a P/E basis with a forward P/E of 16.6. A P/E of 15 and lower is considered a value stock.

Western Digital’s earnings are expected to jump 96% in 2026.

Is the recent sell-off a buying opportunity in Western Digital?

5. Bloom Energy Corp. (BE)

Bloom Energy provides onsite energy solutions. You know what that means: it’s involved with the data centers. Bloom Energy is an AI Revolution infrastructure stock.

Bloom Energy has a good earnings surprise track record. It has beat on earnings six quarters in a row.

Shares of Bloom Energy have declined 15% over the last month on the AI Revolution stock sell-off. But earnings are expected to be up 242% this year.

Will another earnings beat for Bloom Energy boost the stock?
