Can CCEP Turn Southeast Asia Momentum Into Its Next Growth Engine?

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners plc CCEP is getting a larger share of its growth from Southeast Asia, giving the company an additional expansion lever outside its mature European markets. First-half 2026 results showed faster regional revenue growth, better execution in the Philippines and Indonesia, and continued investment in production capacity.

The opportunity is meaningful, but the region still has to prove it can scale enough to offset slower growth and tougher comparisons elsewhere. CCEP’s execution, route-to-market improvements and planned capacity additions will be central to that test.

CCEP’s Southeast Asia Revenue Gains Speed

Southeast Asia delivered solid mid-single-digit volume growth in the first half of 2026, while revenues increased 9% on an FX-neutral basis. That pace exceeded the company’s overall comparable FX-neutral revenue growth of 6.1% and highlights the region’s growing importance within CCEP’s geographic mix.

Management has described Southeast Asia as the company’s fastest-growing market area. The combination of population growth, category development and improving commercial execution gives CCEP room to expand beyond its established European base, where affordability pressure and tougher comparisons can limit growth.

CCEP Builds Momentum in the Philippines

The Philippines remains an important part of the Southeast Asia story. Coca-Cola Zero Sugar posted double-digit growth in the first half, while Wilkins water benefited from additional listings. Those gains show CCEP broadening demand across both sparkling and hydration categories.

Profitability is also improving. The Philippines’ EBIT margin is approaching CCEP’s 10% target, indicating that the business is making progress not only on revenues but also on operating economics. Better margins would make the market a more meaningful contributor to group profit as volumes scale.

CCEP’s Indonesia Reset Supports Recovery

Indonesia is showing signs of recovery after a weaker 2025 comparison. CCEP said sparkling volumes returned to growth in the first half, supported by products such as Coke Zero Vanilla and Sprite Nipis Mint, while Powerade was also introduced into the market.

A revamped route-to-market model is helping CCEP strengthen execution and improve category participation with distribution partners. That matters because the growth case in Indonesia depends on more than product launches. Wider availability, better outlet execution and stronger distribution can determine whether innovation translates into sustained volume gains.

How CCEP Compares With Bottling Peers

The Southeast Asia push also matters when CCEP is viewed against other Coca-Cola system bottlers. Coca-Cola HBC AG CCHGY reported 9.6% organic revenue growth and 7.5% volume growth in the first half of 2026, with its Emerging segment posting 12% organic revenue growth. That performance shows how faster-growing geographies can lift the growth profile of a diversified bottler.

Coca-Cola FEMSA, S.A.B. de C.V. KOF, the world’s largest Coca-Cola franchise bottler by sales volume, reported 1.2% volume growth and 6% comparable revenue growth in the first quarter of 2026. Its scale across Latin America illustrates the value of building dense distribution and broad category participation in developing beverage markets. For CCEP, the Philippines and Indonesia offer a similar strategic opportunity, though the businesses are at different stages and operate in different regions.

CCEP Adds Capacity for Future Regional Demand

CCEP is also investing ahead of expected demand. Construction of a new Philippines facility remains on track for production to begin in 2027, adding capacity to support long-term growth. The project sits alongside broader investment in coolers, technology and supply-chain capabilities.

Additional capacity should give CCEP more flexibility as consumption rises and the company expands its portfolio across zero sugar, water, sports and other faster-growing categories. If distribution and profitability continue improving, Southeast Asia could become a progressively larger part of CCEP’s growth algorithm rather than remain a smaller regional contributor.

CCEP’s Ratings Keep Execution Risk in Focus

Southeast Asia strengthens CCEP’s longer-term growth case, but the stock’s current ratings still call for caution. The business faces consumer affordability pressure, rising input and logistics costs and uneven performance across developed markets, while its valuation remains elevated relative to its own history.

CCEP currently carries a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell). The stock has a Growth Score of B, but a Value Score of D, Momentum Score of C and VGM Score of C. The mix supports the view that Southeast Asia is a credible growth catalyst, but investors still need evidence that regional gains can become large enough and profitable enough to outweigh valuation, cost and mature-market risks.
