This version of AMA is colored, so you will have a 2-color configurable set when the AMA is in a Uptrend or a Downtrend.

SETTINGS

AMA Period
Fast EMA Period. This is a Smoothing Constant - part of AMA calculation. Leave it at 2 at the beginning. Then when you need more behavior you can play with this and the following input.
Slow EMA Period. The second Smoothing Constant. Leave it at 30 at the beginning.

Settings

To use Z score configuration mode, set \"Use Z Score Configuration\" = true. If you set \"Use Z Score Configuration\" = false, then indicator will use Probability Configuration Mode. Probability Configuration Mode is the same as Harmonic Volatility Indicator. These inputs below control the global setting of the indicator.

Number of Daily Session: 0 means indicator will not draw any daily volatility lines. 1 means that indicator will draw one set of daily volatility lines. You can create multiple session of daily volatility lines. However, too many sessions can slow down your MetaTrader. So use the right number for your computer.
Number of Weekly Session: It is the same as daily session input.
Number of Monthly Session: It is the same as daily session input.
Starting Index: 0 is default value. For 0, indicator will start to draw from session 0.
Use White Chart: True means that you will use white background chart.
Use Individual Line Color: If false, then you will use global color scheme. If true, then you can use individual color scheme
Daily Line Color: Color of daily line
Weekly Line Color: Color of weekly line
Monthly Line Color: Color of monthly line
Show Probability Lines: Switch on and off the curved probability line

Strategia

Master Candle (MC) è una strategia di trading basata su una formazione di candele in cui la prima candela (master) è seguita da 4 candele più piccole che si trovano all'interno della prima candela. L'intera formazione è costituita da 5 candele, indipendentemente se ribassista o rialzista.

Tempi : grafici H1 e H4. Anche se la strategia MC funziona meglio su H1, può essere scambiata su tutti i timeframe e le coppie di valute. Principalmente sui grafici H4, H1 e M30.

Coppie di valute : negozia meglio su coppie volatili come GBPUSD e GBPJPY.

Dopo aver rotto MC alto/basso, verrà presa una posizione nella direzione dell'interruzione. Si raccomanda che il MC abbia una dimensione da 40 a 100 pips (ma dipende dalla volatilità della coppia di valute in questione). Si consiglia inoltre di inserire ordini stop, ad esempio, 5 pips sopra e sotto il massimo/minimo MC.

Alcuni trader usano anche la regola che dovrebbe verificarsi un'interruzione in qualsiasi direzione durante le prossime 3 candele dopo la creazione dell'MC (5 ^ns candela). In ogni caso, si consiglia vivamente di annullare qualsiasi ordine di stop se non ci sono interruzioni dopo 24 ore.

Consider each line with a 25% Percentage, so if all are the same color, it would be 100% of the trend is an entry.
If you start now and all the red revision lines I recommend waiting for a bullish trend change to start trading.
You can start trading if you have at least 3 lines with the same color, already consider this a strong trend and a good opportunity for trading.
You can also operate with serum and follow the trend and thus have 4 to 9 operations in a row in a strong trend.
You can stop giving serums by hand as soon as a square with the opposite color of your trend appears.

GETTING STARTED:

Once the indicator is downloaded and installed on MT 5 platform. You should proceed to place the indicator on your chosen currency pair. Once this is done, right click on the chart and the indicator menu along with other menu will show up. Click on the indicator and the name(s) of all the indicators placed on your chart will appear. Click on the Binary Options Indicator and the back test and forward test menu will appear.

SETTINGS

The settings are straight forward. You need to ENABLE test for the test to be conducted. The default setting is enabled. You can change the DATE to whatever dates you prefer to test. Only make sure that the start date is earlier that the stop date. You can choose any TRADE AMOUNT you want. Also the EXPIRY TIME you prefer. The expiry is stated in minutes. 1 means 1 minute, 2 means 2 minutes etc. You can also choose any PAYOUT PERCENTAGE you wish to test. MARTINGALE types can also be chosen with the STEPS and COEFFICIENT. The ALERTS are in three variant- popup, email and push notification with sound. You can choose all or any one that you prefer to use.

Before you perform your test , go to the history menu of your MT 5 to download your data. When testing, you can try various time frames to see the ones that gives you the best results. The results indicated in the screen shots are based on 5 minutes time frames. The market is dynamic, so you should watch out for changes. Keep updating your tests to affirm those assets that are profitable for you to trade. This is not a set and forget system. You must constantly keep abreast of the market at least once a day to ascertain assets that are profitable and those that are not. An asset that is profitable at a time may seize to be so after a while, so you need to keep watch. Longer time results of test is more reliable and statistically significant than short term results. This is applicable for all time frames. An asset can start the day profitable and later start making loss. When you observe this you might want to stop trading to keep the profit you have made for the day. Likewise an asset can start the day with a loss and later in the day turn profitable. Always focus on assets with the highest profit potentials based on your most recent test results. You can focus on one single asset that is most profitable and still be okay. You do not need to trade several assets at once.

TEST SETTINGS

Best timeframe is 15 minutes and 15 minutes expiry.

General information

EA version 4.0 has been a major performance upgrade with an almost entirely rewritten code base. This upgrade allows Take a Break to handle even large-scale chart setups while consuming a minimum amount of CPU power. From this version onward, the frequency of the news + time filter checks is controlled by the chart timeframe. Due to this, Take a Break EA must be run on a chart with timeframe M1 so that these checks get executed every minute. Conveniently, the EA will change its timeframe automatically if it was not attached to an M1 chart right away.
From indicator version 1.30 onward, the chart templates for \"Trading is NOT allowed\" and \"Profit/Loss Limit reached\" are auto-created if they do not exist already. That should facilitate the setup process for most use cases of Take a Break. If you want to create custom chart templates (e.g. you want another EA to trade during news) or want to overwrite existing ones, do the following:

Setup a chart with all required EAs/indicators.
Attach the Take a Break indicator to this chart.

How to use

The OCTO indicator is added in a separate window, showing a red and a green indicator line, as well as the zero line for crossing. You can see an example of the standard look and feel in the screenshots.
Basic use of the indicator is simple as the complexity of calculations in the background has been streamlined into two straight-forward events:

Whenever the green line is crossing the zero line in an upwards direction (from under zero to above zero), a potential entry opportunity for a long position is signaled

Whenever the red line is crossing the zero line in an upwards direction (from under zero to above zero), a potential entry opportunity for a short position is signaled

Note that both, long and short signals are in the upward direction. You will find an example for each in the screenshots as well.

While this can already provide you with good entry opportunities, it is advised to also factor in the relation to the non-signaling line as well as the kind of the crossing. In other words: If the green line is signaling a potential long entry, also observe the red line (specifically the distance to the green line) and the slope of both lines. The clearer the separation between the two lines and the steeper the slope, the more confident the signal generally is.

Hint: The overlapping lines can be a bit confusing at first. Consider separating them into two individual indicator windows as shown in the screenshot examples while you familiarize yourself with the indicator.

Inputs

The OCTO indicator offers three inputs that allow adjusting the algorithms to certain situations:

Long MA: Lower values will cause the indicator to be more focused on strong trend changes while higher values will generally create more entry signals, but with a lower confidence.

Short MA: Lower values can lead to better reaction times to trend changes but also reduces reliability. Higher values will cause the indicator to be more focused on strong trend changes.

Smoothing: Higher values can help smooth choppiness in the signal for more clarity but can also cause the indicator to react slower to trend changes.

It is important to note that the long and short MA are highly depending on each other and a good pairing is most important for reliable entry signals.

Hint: As you can see in the results section below, using the defaults provides profitability in a backtesting environment but requires experience with the indicator. Consider slightly increasing both, the long and short MA to provide you with clearer signals in the beginning.

Results

Next to the screenshots of the indicator itself you will also find the results of backtesting the indicator with an example trading robot.
This trading robot is using the OCTO indicator as its only entry signal (no additional verification, no other indicators), with the ATR used to determine stop loss and take profit values.

You will find three screenshots, each showing one full year (2017, 2018, 2019). All three years use the default settings for the OCTO indicator and only the ATR has been adjusted per year to match each years predominant market behavior (trendy, choppy etc.). Testing has been done on the USD/EUR symbol on the M15 chart and the results show profitability in all three years.

Additionally, profitability when using the OCTO indicator can be further improved with a more sophisticated stop loss and take profit calculation (eg. adjusted to current market behavior in live trading instead of just the predominant market behavior per year) as well as tuning the above mentioned inputs of the indicator to the current market.

Alert with sound: informs if the alert should include playing a sound

Custom buy sound: name of the custom buy sound file to be used instead of the default. It must be inside a folder named \"Sounds\", this one inside the \"Files\" folder in the Terminal's MQL5 directory tree.

What are Donchian Channels?

What Do Donchian Channels Tell You?

The top line identifies the extent of bullish energy, highlighting the highest price achieved for the period through the bull-bear conflict. The center line identifies the median or mean reversion price for the period, highlighting the middle ground achieved for the period through the bull-bear conflict. The bottom line identifies the extent of bearish energy, highlighting the lowest price achieved for the period through the bull-bear conflict.

The Difference Between Donchian Channels and Bollinger Bands

Donchian Channels plot the highest high and lowest low over N periods while Bollinger Bands plot a simple moving average (SMA) for N periods plus/minus the standard deviation of price for N periods X 2. This results in a more balanced calculation that reduces the impact of big high or low prints.

Limitations of Using Donchian Channels

Markets move according to many cycles of activity. An arbitrary or commonly used N period value for Donchian Channels may not reflect current market conditions, generating false signals that can undermine trading and investment performance.
