By analyzing liquidation data, traders can gauge market sentiment, identify potential support and resistance levels, identify potential trend reversals, and make informed decisions about entry and exit points.

🔶 USAGE

(Img 1) Liquidation refers to the process of forcibly closing a trader's position. It occurs when a trader's margin account can no longer support their open positions due to significant losses or a lack of sufficient margin to meet the maintenance requirements.

(Img 2) Liquidations can be categorized as either a long liquidation or a short liquidation. A long liquidation is a situation where long positions are being liquidated, while short liquidation is a situation where short positions are being liquidated.

The green bars indicate long liquidations – meaning the number of long positions liquidated in the market. Typically, long liquidations occur when there is a sudden drop in the asset price that is being traded. This is because traders who were bullish on the asset and had opened long positions on the same will now face losses since the market has moved against them.

Similarly, the red bars indicate short liquidations – meaning the number of short positions liquidated in the futures market. Short liquidations occur when there is a sudden spike in the price of the asset that is being traded. This is because traders who were bearish on the asset and had opened short positions will now face losses since the market has moved against them.

🔹Dominance

Liquidation dominance (Difference) displays the difference between long and short liquidations, aiming to help identify the dominant side. (img 4)

🔹Total Liquidations

Total liquidations display the sum of long and short liquidations. (img 5)

🔹Cumulative Liquidations

Cumulative liquidations are essentially the cumulative sum of the difference between short and long liquidations aiming to confirm the trend and the strength of the trend. (img 6)

It's important to note that liquidation data is not provided on the MT platform.

Yet we know that the liquidation data is closely tied in with trading volumes in the market and the movement in the underlying asset’s price. As a result, this script analyzes available data sources extracts the required information, and presents an educated estimate of the liquidation data. This script use tick volume because of forex market.

The data presented does not reflect the actual individual quantitative value of the liquidation data, traders and analysts shall look to the changes over time and the correlation between liquidation data and price movements.

The script's output with the default option values has been visually checked/compared with the liquidation chart presented on coinglass.com.

Vediamo ogni punto nel dettaglio:

L'esclusivo metodo di calcolo oscillatorio consente all'indicatore di non rimanere a lungo nei valori massimi, ma di uscirne in anticipo, in modo simile agli effetti familiari di divergenze e convergenze. Questo metodo include anche un periodo di calcolo specifico e un livello di livellamento delle letture, che le rende più uniformi. I calcoli non contengono confusione inutile e formule ridondanti non necessarie, quindi il carico sul terminale è ridotto.

Avere pulsanti per disabilitare o abilitare linee di valute specifiche è una delle funzionalità più convenienti, in quanto può liberarti dalle valute inutilizzate o semplicemente migliorare visivamente la tua visibilità.

Il pannello informativo è un'altra comoda funzionalità dell'indicatore; riflette non solo le letture numeriche delle linee, ma anche le letture della TF senior. Inoltre, ci sono frecce nella direzione dell'ultimo movimento e segni accoppiati verticali che indicano quali linee di valute hanno attraversato. Le frecce dell'ultimo movimento registrano i movimenti sulle penultime barre: una funzione molto comoda per identificare visivamente l'inizio di un'inversione ai valori massimi o minimi.

2 tipi di avvisi sono adatti a casi diversi: per alcuni sarà importante la presenza di incroci, per altri potranno monitorare la posizione delle linee rispetto ai livelli specificati e per altri saranno utili entrambi gli avvisi. Se non sono necessari, possono essere disabilitati facoltativamente.

Il numero di barre disegnate è una funzionalità molto utile non solo per chi non ha bisogno di rivedere l'intera cronologia, ma anche per risparmiare risorse del processore. Negli indicatori multivaluta i calcoli aumentano i multipli a causa della richiesta di quotazioni non solo per 28 coppie di valute, ma anche per altri strumenti finanziari, se richiesti. Pertanto, la limitazione delle barre consente di risparmiare notevolmente tempo, risorse e riduce il carico sul terminale.

How to trade using this indicator

Although the indicator can be used as a trading system in itself, as it offers information about the Win Rate and Profit Factor, it can also be used in conjunction with some trading systems shown below:

#1 As a confirmation trend in a Moving Average crossing setup

Setup: One fast exponential moving average with 50 periods, one slow exponential moving average with 200 periods, timeframe M5, any volatile asset like XAUUSD for example.

Wait for a crossover between the two averages above. After that, open a position only when the indicator gives a signal after this crossover and in the direction of the trend signaled by the crossing of the faster average in relation to the slower one. Set stop loss at Pivot points for a higher hit rate. (click here for more details)

#2 As a confirmation signal on a Breakout system

Setup: Find the current main trend, draw a consolidation channel and look for breakouts in the direction of it. When the indicator gives a signal outside the channel confirming the breakout open a correspondent position. (click here for more details)

#3 Swing trading on higher timeframes using the inner Moving Average filter

Setup: Add the indicator on a high timeframe like H4 or higher. Use the Moving Average filter, present in the indicator itself. After that, also activate the \"One signal direction at a time\" option.

Open a buy position when the indicator signals it and close it only when a new sell signal appears or vice versa.

Indicator description

In the indicator window draws 4 lines. Two solid lines show actual values, two dotted lines show predictions of the values of events at the time of the indicator data release.

The window also displays two color labels of the forecast lines, which show the value and time of the forecast in the future if this forecast appeared in the MT5 database. These tags help to see the patterns associated with the market forecasting the values of economic indicators (screenshot 3).

There are sometimes errors in the MT5 database due to the absence of a value for the event. In such cases, the indicator shows zero. In order not to confuse the error with the zero value of the economic event, the indicator indicates an error using the arrow of the corresponding line of the color chart (screenshot 4).

To avoid confusion as to which events are displayed in which window, the names of these events are displayed in the upper left corner (screenshot 5).

Strategy tester does not allow to use historical data, because the tester indicator will not work!!!

Setting

To display the display of the event you need in the settings, just set the country and enter its name. The name of the event should match exactly the name in the MT5 calendar in the language that is set in the terminal. You can enter the keyboard. You can go to the event page, double-click it, copy it and paste it into the indicator settings window (screenshot 6, screenshot 7).

Two indicators of each event are displayed in the indicator window: current value and forecast. You can remove one of these lines by setting Visibility of the Plot to avoid overloading the indicator with unnecessary information (screenshot 8).

Economic news is rare, so updating an indicator with every tick is a senseless load on the system. To do this, you have created the Default Update Mode setting in New bar mode. If you need to update the indicator of each tick while waiting for the news, set the setting of Every tick or New bar to True. Remember to translate back to false (screenshot 9).

There are abnormally high or low indicators in the window window, increasing the window scale, worsening the visibility of lower indicators. In this case, it is recommended to use the standard Scale tab. In this tab we limit the maximum or minimum window scale (screenshot 10).

🔹 Candle Numbers

(Image 2) The Strat assigns a number to individual candles, this number is determined by the current candle position relative to the precedent candle, these include:

Number 1 - Inside bar, occurs when the previous candle range engulfs the current one.
Number 2 Up - Upside Directional Bar, occurs when the current price high breaks the previous high while the current low is lower than the previous high.
Number 2 Down - Downside Directional Bar, occurs when the current price low breaks the previous low while the current high is higher than the previous low.
Number 3 - Outside bar, occurs when the current candle range engulfs the previous one.

The script can highlight the number of a candle by using labels but can also style candles by depending on the candle number. Inside bars (1) only have their candle wick highlighted, directional bars (2) (-2) only have their candle body highlighted. Outside bars have their candle range highlighted.

Note that downside directional bars are highlighted with the number -2.

Users can see the total amount of times a specific candle number is detected on the historical data on the dashboard available within the settings, as well as the number of times a candle number is detected relative to the total amount of detected candle numbers expressed as a percentage.

It is also possible to see the current candle numbers returned by multiple timeframes on the dashboard.

🔹 Searching For Custom Combo

(Image 3) Combos are made of a sequence of two or more candle numbers. These combos can highlight multiple reversals/continuation scenarios. Various common combos are documented by The Strat community.

This script allows users to search for custom combos by entering them on the Combo user setting field.

When a user combo is found, it is highlighted on the chart as a box highlighting the combo range.

🔹 Pivot Combos

(Image 4) It can be of interest to a user to display the combo associated with a pivot high/low. This script will highlight the location of pivot points on the chart and display its associated combo by default. These are based on the Pivot Combo lookback and not displayed in real-time.

Users can see on the dashboard the combos associated with a pivot high/low, these are ranked by frequency.

🔹 Pivot Machine Gun (PMG)

Cluster Analysis: Analyze the clusters to identify areas where clusters tend to form. These areas might correspond to regions of price behavior that repeat over time and could be indicative of support and resistance levels.
Potential Support and Resistance Levels: Based on the identified areas of cluster formation, traders can consider these regions as potential support and resistance levels. A cluster forming at a specific price level could suggest that this level has been historically significant, causing similar price behavior in the past.
Cluster Standard Deviation: In addition to looking at the means (centroids) of the clusters, traders can also calculate the standard deviation of price changes within each cluster. Standard deviation is a measure of the dispersion or volatility of data points around the mean. A higher standard deviation indicates greater price volatility within a cluster.

█ K MEANS ALGORITHM

The algorithm for K means is as follows:

Initialize cluster centers
assign data to clusters based on minimum distance
calculate cluster center by taking the average or median of the clusters
repeat steps 1-3 until cluster centers stop moving

█ LIMITATIONS OF K MEANS

There are 3 main limitations of this algorithm:

Sensitive to Initializations: K-means is sensitive to the initial placement of centroids. Different initializations can lead to different cluster assignments and final results.
Assumption of Equal Sizes and Variances: K-means assumes that clusters have roughly equal sizes and spherical shapes. This may not hold true for all types of data. It can struggle with identifying clusters with uneven densities, sizes, or shapes.
Impact of Outliers: K-means is sensitive to outliers, as a single outlier can significantly affect the position of cluster centroids. Outliers can lead to the creation of spurious clusters or distortion of the true cluster structure.

█ LIMITATIONS IN APPLICATION OF K MEANS IN TRADING

Trading data often exhibits characteristics that can pose challenges when applying indicators and analysis techniques. Here's how the limitations of outliers, varying scales, and unequal variance can impact the use of indicators in trading:

█ APPLICATION OF THIS INDICATOR

This indicator can be used in 2 ways:

1) Make a directional trade:

If a trader thinks price will go higher or lower and price is within a cluster zone, The trader can take a position and place a stop on the 1 sd band around the cluster. As one can see below, the trader can go long the green arrow and place a stop on the one standard deviation mark for that cluster below it at the red arrow. using this we can calculate a risk to reward ratio.
Calculating risk to reward: targeting a risk reward ratio of 2:1, the trader could clearly make that given that the next resistance area above that in the orange cluster exceeds this risk reward ratio.

2) Take a reversal Trade:

We can use cluster centers (support and resistance levels) to go in the opposite direction that price is currently moving in hopes of price forming a pivot and reversing off this level.
Similar to the directional trade, we can use the standard deviation of the cluster to place a stop just in case we are wrong.
In this example below we can see that shorting on the red arrow and placing a stop at the one standard deviation above this cluster would give us a profitable trade with minimal risk.
Using the cluster density table in the upper right informs the trader just how dense the cluster is. Higher density clusters will give a higher likelihood of a pivot forming at these levels and price being rejected and switching direction with a larger move.

█ FEATURES & SETTINGS

General Settings:

Number of clusters: The user can select from 3 to five clusters. A good rule of thumb is that if you are trading intraday, less is more (Think 3 rather than 5). For daily 4 to 5 clusters is good.
Cluster Method: To get around the outlier limitation of k means clustering, The median was added. This gives the user the ability to choose either k means or k median clustering. K means is the preferred method if the user things there are no large outliers, and if there appears to be large outliers or it is assumed there are then K medians is preferred.
Bars back To train on: This will be the amount of bars to include in the clustering. This number is important so that the user includes bars that are recent but not so far back that they are out of the scope of where price can be. For example the last 2 years we have been in a range on the sp500 so 505 days in this setting would be more relevant than say looking back 5 years ago because price would have to move far to get there.
Show SD Bands: Select this to show the 1 standard deviation bands around the support and resistance level or unselect this to just show the support and resistance level by itself.

Show Panel: Display panel to show infor of zones.

Features:

Besides the support and resistance levels and standard deviation bands, this indicator gives a table in the upper right hand corner to show the density of each cluster (support and resistance level) and is color coded to the cluster line on the chart. Higher density clusters mean price has been there previously more than lower density clusters and could mean a higher likelihood of a reversal when price reaches these areas.

How to Use

Set the factors for Tenkensen, Kijunsen, and Span B (default: 1.0, 2.9, 5.8).
Choose your desired signal types.
Select the preferred signal strength (strong, neutral, weak).
Enable or disable notification alerts and Meta Trader alert.
Select Show/Hide arrows on the chart (arrows will be drawn right at the price that you can enter a position or take any other action, i.e. the open price of the next candle after the signal)
Select Show/Hide signal short-names on the chart (short-names will be written right at the candle that the signal has been formed)
Fix the graphical options (cloud colors, short names font and size, ...)
Take a look at the 'colors tab' and change the lines and arrows colors as you wish.

1. ARC (Average Range times Constant)

ARC is the original concept used in the Super Trend indicator:
• multiply a constant (factor) with the Average True Range (ATR), then, based on trend direction, either subtract or add the resulting value to the last extremum point on the price chart.
• In an uptrend, ignore any support level lower than the previous day’s support level, and during a downtrend, ignore any support level higher than the previous support level.

2. ARC Ichimoku

ARC Ichimoku is a variation of the classic Ichimoku indicator, which instead of using chart Max/Min values over fixed periods (e.g., 9, 26, 52) to find Ichimoku lines, employs the ARC with adjustable factors (constants) for the same periods to find those lines.

Tenkensen: This line represents an ARC (Super Trend) calculated using an adjustable factor (default, 1.0) based on a 9-period ATR.
Kijunsen: Kijunsen is also an ARC (Super Trend) calculated using an adjustable factor (default, 2.9), but based on a 26-period ATR.
Span A (faster cloud edge): It is the average of Tenkensen and Kijunsen, shifted forward by 26 candles.
Span B (slower cloud edge): It is another ARC (Super Trend) calculated using an adjustable factor (default, 5.8) based on a 52-period ATR. It is then shifted forward by 26 periods.
Chikou: Chikou represents the close price shifted backward by 26 candles.

3. Available Signals in the indicator

There are five reliable signals in the classic Ichimoku, which have difference in their strength mostly based on their relationship with the cloud, and you can see all of them in this indicator, too. These include:

Tenkan-Kijun Cross: When Tenkensen crosses above/below Kijunsen, it signals a potential bullish/bearish trend.
Price-Kijun Cross: This signal occurs most frequently and when the price crosses above or below the Kijunsen line.
Kumo Breakout: A breakout above or below the Kumo (cloud) indicates a potential trend reversal.
Kumo color change: When the cloud color changes from red to green, or vice versa, it signals a potential trend reversal.
Chikou Span Confirmation: When the Chikou (lagging span) crosses above or below the price, it confirms the prevailing trend direction.
