Settings

When loading the indicator to any chart, you will be presented with a set of options as input parameters. Don't despair if you think they are too many, because parameters are grouped into self-explanatory blocks. This is what each block of parameters does.

Indicator Settings - Choose the oscillator to display and the amount of bars to evaluate when the indicator loads in the chart. Evaluating less bars on loading means the indicator will load faster.
Symbol Settings - Type the symbols you want to display on each indicator buffer, as offered by your broker in your Metatrader terminal. You have to type at least one symbol and a maximum of 12. Leave blank those buffers you don't want to use. Most of the time you will be setting a different symbol for each buffer, unless you want to track a single indicator across all timeframes in the same symbol, in which case you'll have to type the same symbol in all the buffers.
Timeframe Settings -Choose the timeframe of each buffer. If you want the oscillator to change with the timeframe of the chart, then leave the default value of current. On the other hand, if you want to display a fixed timeframe regardless the local timeframe of the chart, you should select it.

How to Trade

You can trade in following modes:

The distance between the red line and the yellow line is too large. The greater the difference between the two lines, the stronger the trend changes of yellow line.
Looking for the divergences in overbought and oversold levels.
If red line is under 25 and then crosses this level upwards, and the price is already above its simple moving average, this is a sign for the beginning of a new ascending trend.
If red line is above 75 and then crosses this level downwards, and the price is already below its simple moving average, this is a sign for the beginning of a new descending trend.
You can trade any timeframe you want.

Loss in dollars or per cent for a stop line (STOP_IN) – amount in USD or in percentage of the balance that would be lost in case a stop loss is triggered (in USD by default).
Choice of dimension for STOP_IN – select if the amount at risk for opening a trade is specified in USD or in percents of the balance.
Do not open a trade if at min lot stop is greater than STOP_IN – if true, then a trade will not be opened in case the loss received at a stop loss exceeds the allowable risk (default is true).
Opening price (0 - by market) – price for opening a trade (if > 0, then a limit order is sent, otherwise - order by market); this price can be set both manually by entering a value in the corresponding field, and by moving the green line created on the chart.
Multiplier for take – multiplier for determining the ratio of take profit to stop loss (default is 4, that is, reaching the take profit earns 4 times the possible loss when reaching the stop loss).
Draw a line at the level of a given number of stops – if greater than 0, a line will be drawn on the chart at the level of the specified multiplier relative to stop loss (default is 3, that is, the line will be drawn at the level of three stop losses from the opening price to the profit area). This line can be used for determining the price to partially close a trade, if you prefer closing trades gradually.
The price of the top level (0 - do not check) – the maximum price for take profit (if take profit exceeds this price,, the order will not be created). A strong trend (=high probability of continuation)
A deep pullback (=the price should not be there within a strong trend! Is it a stop hunt?)
A strong rejection of the pullback (=It was most probably only a stop hunt. Let's enter!)

The rules for a short trade are:

The thick blue and thick orange lines are strong below the price (strong downward trend indicated, more about the strength later)
At the same time there must be 2 thinner orange-red lines (they look like stairs) above the price (this confirms the price action within the trend)
The price then have to jump above the 2 thinner orange-red lines (or at least between them) and then must be rejected below the two thinner lines again. This forms a peak (an inverted V). The peak should consist of maximum 4 candles.
The entry signal is the move below the lower line of the 2 thinner orange-red lines.

It protects your money because it is provided with:

Trailing stop loss to protect your profit. Once your order has a positive profit, it sets SL at a certain distance in order to keep a positive profit;
minimum equity percentage to limit your risks. You may limit your investments and restrict it to a certain percentage of your money;
limits the number of pending orders. This way you will not drawdown your account with too many pending orders.
Bad Time to Trade where you define the hours the EA should not trade (Time of Market Whatch).
Spread Limit to allow trading: where you define the maximum spread values to allow auto trading.

Closes orders with any profit of value over in currency: this parameter works like the traditional Take Profit, but the difference is that you define its value in deposit currency, usually USD. If you do not want to use it, fill it out with 0 (zero);
Take profit (order profit ceiling): this parameter is the traditional take profit. Its value is filled out with pips units. Orders will automatically be opened with this take profit value. If you do not want to use it, fill it out with 0 (zero);
Stop loss (loss limit): this parameter is the traditional stop loss. Its value is filled out with pips units. Orders will automatically be opened with this stop loss value. If you do not want to use it, fill it out with 0 (zero);
Lots volume to trade: fill in this parameter to define the volume of the orders of this currency pair. This parameter is mandatory;

Maximum number of simultaneous orders to open of this symbol: this parameter defines the maximum number of simultaneous open orders of the current symbol. If you do not want to use it, fill it out with 0 (zero);
Minimum equity percentage to allow opening new orders: this parameter is used to define the minimum equity required to open new orders in order to protect your equity;

Order Settings

MagicOrderNumber - Unique number for the EA to identify its trades. Any integer.
Lots – Starting lot. Values from 0.01 to 0.02.
LotMultiplier – Last trade loss lot size multiplier. Values from 1.5 to 2.0.
LotMultiplierStart - Which trade in the sequence to start multiplying lots, higher values reduce chance of drawdown. Values from 0 to 100.
LotLimit – Maximum lot size before giving up on the trade sequence. Values from 10 to 100.
Slippage - Slippage in pips. Values from 1 to 10.
AllowNewTrades - Turn this off to disable new trade sequences, true/false.

Entry Settings

TimeFrame - Timeframe drop-down selection to lock EA to a timeframe so that selection of the chart timeframe doesn't affect the EA. When testing ensure the tester timeframe is set to the same value.
MaxSpread - Maximum spread in pips that the EA will trade. Values from 1.0 to 10.0.
StopLoss – Stop loss per trade in pips. This is only an emergency stop loss, should be set higher than TakeProfitMax. Values from 50 to 200.
TakeProfit – The invisible take profit increments in pips, should be small. Values from 3 to 8.
TakeProfitStart – The initial invisible take profit in pips, should be small. Values from 3 to 8.
TakeProfitMax – The maximum target profit in a sequence of trades. Values from 40 to 100.
StopLossMultiplier – The invisible stop loss ratio to invisible take profit. Values from 0.4 to 1.0.
EnterOnATR – Starts trade sequences on ATR increase, true/false.
ATRPeriod – The ATR period used for volatility detection. Values from 3 to 28.
ATRThreshold – The ATR threshold limiting when new trade sequences can start. Values from 4 to 14.
ReverseEntry – Starts trade sequences against the current trend, true/false.
LimitedTradeHours – Limit hours of trading by listing hours not to trade, separated by commas, for example: 5,8,12-15.

Entry Conditions

This strategy uses the Bollinger Bands as breakout indicators, i.e. a potential long entry signal is generated when a candle closes above the upper Bollinger Band and a potential short entry signal is generated when a candle closes below the lower Bollinger Band.

To have an entry signal, except from passing the Bollinger Bands, the close of the current candle must be greater than the close of X periods ago for a long entry or lower than X periods ago for a short entry.

Exit Conditions

When a position is initiated, a stop loss is set at a Moving Average. For every period that the strategy remains in a position, the number of periods used for the Moving Average calculation is reduced. This happens until a minimum limit for the Moving Average period is reached. From that point on the period of the Moving Average remains constant.

To create an exit signal the moving average must be below the upper band if we are long and above the lower band if we are short. This element was added to prevent the system from going back into the same trade that was just liquidated.

Inputs

Bollinger Band Settings

Period - the period of the Bollinger Bands.
Deviation - the number of standard deviations between the bands and the moving average.
Shift - the number of time periods to shift the Bollinger Band indicator.
Apply to - the candle price on which the Bollinger Band calculations will be based.

Moving Average SL Settings

Period - the period of the Moving Average.
Rate of Period Reduction - the amount by which the period of the Moving Average Stop Loss is reduced at each candle after an entry signal.
Minimum Period - the minimum limit for the period of the Moving Average Stop Loss. The Moving Average will remain constant when this period is reached.
Shift - the number of time periods to shift the Moving Average indicator.
Method - the method used to calculate the Moving Average.
Apply to - the candle price on which the Moving Average calculations will be based.

Trend Filter Settings
Lookback Period - the number of periods to look back for the previous close to compare with the current close and confirm the entry signal.
Maximum Drawn Bars - the number of bars the indicator will be drawn on. For example, if set to 1000, the indicator will be drawn on the last 1000 bars of the chart.
Alert Settings

ENABLE Metatrader Alerts - set to \"true\" to receive an alert on the Metatrader platform when an entry signal appears.
ENABLE Email Alerts - set to \"true\" to receive an email alert when an entry signal appears.

Settings

These inputs control the global setting of the indicator.

Number of Daily Session: 0 means indicator will not draw any daily volatility lines. 1 means that indicator will draw one set of daily volatility lines. You can create multiple session of daily volatility lines. However, too many sessions can slow down your MetaTrader. So use the right number for your computer.
Number of Weekly Session: It is the same as daily session input.
Number of Monthly Session: It is the same as daily session input.
Starting Index: 0 is default value. For 0, indicator will start to draw from session 0.
Use White Chart: True means that you will use white background chart.
Use Individual Line Color: If false, then you will use global color scheme. If true, then you can use individual color scheme

To do this, the losing deal is split into multiple small parts, each of these parts is closed separately.

The EA can interact with other experts. For example, when a certain drawdown is reached, Open Lock can disable the other expert and start working with its orders.

Methods used by the EA

Locking to prevent a drawdown increase
Averaging orders used to cover the loss
Partial closure to reduce the load on deposit

Averaging orders are opened with a small lot so as not to load the deposit.

\r\n

Profit of these orders is used to partially close the losing position.

\r\n

Language - interface language of the control panel
Magic Number - unique identifier of averaging orders. It must not coincide with the magic numbers of other EAs
Trading mode - trading mode

Opening and closing orders - open and close orders in normal mode
Only closing orders (Another advisors will open orders) - the EA will only close and lock (if enabled) positions. Orders must be opened by another EA. The EA will work only with the orders that have been opened with the magic number of the Open Lock EA

Maximal lot in average ord (0-not used) - the maximum lot to be opened by the EA in an averaging order. If 0, the lot size is not limited
Maximal number average ord in one direction (0-not used) - the maximum number of averaging orders in one direction
Maximal step (0-not used) - the maximum step (in pips) that can be set between averaging orders. If 0, the step is not limited. This parameter is only used if the dynamic step is enabled
Start work - when to start working

At startup - right after starting
By drawdown level - after reaching the drawdown level

Drawdown in currency - drawdown value in the deposit currency (it must be specified in case 'By drawdown level' is selected)
Stop another advisors - stop the operation of other experts in the terminal (works only when the drawdown level is reached)

Not use - disable this feature
Close chart with same symbol (for single currency advisor's) - close charts of the current symbol. Charts of other symbols will not be closed
Close all other charts (for multicurrency advisor's) - close other charts to disable the operation of other experts

Action when the risk limit is reached - actions for critically low level of free margin (action is activated 30 seconds after the drawdown is reached)

Use control panel
Use expert inputs - parameters must be set in the EA inputs. This mode should be used when working with VPS by MetaQuotes

Locking - enable locking losing positions
New lot - lot size for the first position
Dinamic lot - enable the lot multiplier. If this parameter is enabled, the lot size of the new deal will be multiplied by the coefficient
Lot multiplier size - lot multiplier
Step - step for opening new orders
Dinamic step - enable the step multiplier
Step multiplier size - step multiplier
Direction - trading direction for the EA

UP/DOWN - the EA will open both buy and sell deals
UP - the EA will only buy
DOWN - the EA will only sell

Close orders - orders fro the EA to work with

All unprofitable orders - all losing orders
One order - order with the ticket specified below

Order ticket if set \"One order\" - order ticket, if the \"One Order\" mode is selected above
Close lot - lot of the losing deal to close
Close profit - profit to be gained form closing a part of the losing order

When you start the Expert Advisor, it opens a deal and then tries to close it with a profit.

This multi time frame and multi symbol indicator can identify the following 5 crosses:

when a fast moving average crosses a slow moving average line.
when price has reached a single moving average (closed above/below or just bounced).
