- The company reported $190.0 million available under its revolving credit facility and compliance with its debt covenants. Management said cash and credit availability should cover working capital and capital expenditure needs for at least 12 months.
- FY2022 operating cash flow improved substantially from FY2021, when cash use reflected the net loss and a $76.2 million increase in accounts receivable. FY2022 investing cash use was $68.0 million, including the heloo acquisition; capital expenditures were $43.8 million.

Outlook, commentary, and risks
Management cited inflation, higher interest rates, currency movements, and client cost-cutting as pressures that slowed revenue growth and increased operating costs. Some clients shifted work from U.S. locations to offshore delivery centers or reduced vendor spending. Management expects some of these effects to continue in the near term, while viewing cost-focused client demand as an opportunity. It expects faster growth outside the U.S. in 2023; the filing provides no quantified FY2023 guidance.
Key risks include client concentration and contract flexibility: the largest client, Meta, represented 22% of FY2022 revenue; the top 10 clients represented 58%. The Philippines generated 53% of revenue by delivery location, and India generated 11%. Other notable risks include data security and privacy obligations, employee misconduct, foreign-exchange and wage pressures, dependence on international operations, and the mental-health and regulatory challenges associated with content moderation. The company also faces competition, automation-related substitution risk, and the possibility of client insourcing or reduced demand.
TaskUs disclosed a securities class action alleging misleading statements related to its IPO and 2021 disclosures, plus lawsuits involving alleged consumer-data security and privacy issues. The company disputes the allegations and intends to defend them; it said potential losses in the data-related cases could not yet be estimated. It stated that other ordinary-course legal matters were not expected to have a material adverse effect. Philippine tax incentives reduced foreign taxes by $6.1 million in 2022; continued benefits depend on meeting applicable requirements.
Important facts for investors to verify
- Whether client spending, especially from the largest client and social-media-related work, stabilizes and whether client concentration declines.
- Whether the shift of work to lower-cost geographies supports margins, given FY2022 gross and Adjusted EBITDA margin compression.
- Cash conversion and receivables quality: year-end net receivables were $178.7 million, including $80.8 million unbilled; two clients represented 30% of gross receivables.
- Debt-service exposure to variable rates, refinancing capacity, covenant headroom, and the timing of the large 2027 maturity.
- Progress and integration costs from the heloo acquisition, including contingent earn-out payments, and the return on the share repurchases.
- Developments in the disclosed lawsuits, data-security controls, content-moderator well-being, and renewal of Philippine tax incentives.
