Nvidia Is Focused on Redefining AI Infrastructure as an Income-Generating Asset

In the recent past, Nvidia’s (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang has been focused on how Wall Street prices and finances AI infrastructure. As a part of this effort, Nvidia entered into an agreement with six of the world’s largest asset managers for a $500 million AI-financing plan.

Huang pitched for an AI factory platform as an investible asset “because it’s productive, it’s revenue generating, it is fungible, it’s used by just about every cloud service provider, it runs every AI model.” With AI infrastructure buildout requiring significant investments, this pitch is intended to support cloud providers and AI companies to raise funds. In turn, Nvidia stands to benefit from the global AI ecosystem growth.

In another similar pitch, Huang opined that the “company’s computing infrastructure should be viewed as an income-generating asset.” This was in response to a post on X that pointed out “that rental prices for Nvidia’s three-year-old H100 GPUs had risen 22% over the past month.”

Ultimately, it boils down to returns generated by GPUs and data centers in the coming years. For now, there seems to be ample scope for financing the AI buildout that’s a catalyst for Nvidia’s sustained growth.

About Nvidia Stock

Headquartered in Santa Clara, Nvidia defines itself as a world leader in global computing. With artificial intelligence driving the largest infrastructure buildout in human history, Nvidia is at the core of the global AI ecosystem, which now reaches markets through hyperscalers, cloud providers, AI-native clouds, enterprise IT, sovereign deployments, and industrial systems.

Backed by the innovation factor, Nvidia has been growing at a scorching pace. Through this journey, Nvidia became the first company in the world to reach a $5 trillion market capitalization.

Nvidia operates through two key business segments: The Compute & Networking segment and the Graphics segment. Data Center, within the compute segment, is the company’s key growth driver.

For the first half of FY27, Nvidia reported revenue of $177.8 billion, which was higher by 95.8% on a year-over-year (YoY) basis. For the same period, the company reported a GAAP gross margin of 75% and operating cash flow of $74.4 billion.

With strong growth, robust margins, and swelling cash flows, NVDA stock's trend remains positive with an upside of 18% in the past six months.

Continued Growth Momentum

Currently, Nvidia is nearing $5.5 trillion in market valuation. However, this number does not imply that there is no scope for value creation. Even with a sustained uptrend, NVDA stock trades at a forward price-earnings multiple of 25.3. Considering the growth momentum, the valuations are attractive.

In the foreseeable future, Vera Rubin is likely to drive growth. The company has already commenced production, and with purchase orders from every major hyperscaler, AI cloud, and system OEM, the ramp-up is expected to be swift.

At the same time, the rising adoption of agentic AI is a growth driver. It’s translating into incremental demand for data center CPUs. Similarly, in sovereign AI (largely through the regional neoclouds), growth has been in triple digits in Q2 on a YoY basis.

While these factors contribute to the positive momentum, Nvidia has also been aggressive on the capital return front. In Q2 FY27, the company allocated $26 billion towards dividends and share repurchase.

Therefore, with structural industry tailwinds, healthy growth, innovation, and swelling cash flows, NVDA stock will continue to create value.
