What to Expect From Otis Worldwide's Q3 2026 Earnings Report

Valued at a market cap of $27 billion, Otis Worldwide Corporation (OTIS) is the world’s leading manufacturer, installer, servicer, and modernizer of elevators and escalators, moving 2.5 billion people daily and maintaining approximately 2.5 million customer units worldwide. Headquartered in Connecticut, USA, Otis has a workforce of 72,000 employees and operates in more than 200 countries and territories, delivering safe, reliable, and innovative mobility solutions to customers and passengers worldwide.

OTIS is expected to release its fiscal Q3 2026 results before the market opens on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Ahead of this event, analysts project the Farmington, Connecticut-based company to report an adjusted EPS of $1, a 4.8% decline from $1.05 in the year-ago quarter. The company has exceeded or met Wall Street's bottom-line estimates in three of the last four quarters while missing on another occasion.

For fiscal 2026, analysts forecast the elevator maker to report adjusted EPS of $4.03, down marginally from $4.05 in fiscal 2025. However, adjusted EPS is expected to grow 10.9% year-over-year to $4.47 in fiscal 2027.

Shares of Otis Worldwide have fallen 21.6% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming the broader S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 14.1% return and the State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLI) 7.7% gain over the same period.

Otis Worldwide’s shares fell 2.1% on Jul. 22 after the company cut its full-year adjusted EPS forecast to $4.01 - $4.05, citing higher labor, productivity, and investment costs. The outlook was also pressured by weakness in new-equipment demand, particularly in China, where sales fell in the high teens, while the company expects new-equipment organic sales to be flat or down low-single digits. Although Q2 2026 revenue rose 7% to $3.86 billion and service demand remained strong, adjusted EPS of $1.01 merely met expectations, with the margin miss and sizable forecast reduction outweighing the revenue beat.

Analysts' consensus view on OTIS stock is cautiously optimistic, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Among 13 analysts covering the stock, five suggest a "Strong Buy," one "Moderate Buy," six give a "Hold," and one provides a "Strong Sell" rating. The average analyst price target is $85.50, suggesting a potential upside of 19% from current levels.
