Revenues rose 29.8% year over year to $549.8 million, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $549 million by 0.20%. Company-operated shop revenues increased 31% to $515 million.

CFO Joshua Guenser highlighted adjusted EBITDA growth of 29.6% to $101.1 million. Company-operated shop contribution margin expanded 30 basis points to 28.1%, supported by sales leverage and approximately $4 million in tariff refunds.

Dutch Bros Revises Its 2026 Outlook

Guenser said management now expects full-year revenues of at least $2.1 billion, adjusted EBITDA of approximately $380 million and systemwide same-shop sales growth of at least 5%.

The company also raised its capital expenditure outlook to $370-$390 million, reflecting investment in its expanding development pipeline. Its target of at least 185 shop openings remains unchanged.

During the analyst discussion, management emphasized tougher fourth-quarter comparisons, reduced food-related ticket benefits and consumer volatility. Higher utility and freight expenses also influenced profitability expectations.

BROS Accelerates Shop Expansion for 2027

CEO Christine Barone announced plans to open approximately 250 system shops in 2027, primarily in existing states. The company opened 48 shops during the third quarter, bringing its network to 1,273 locations.

Barone emphasized market densification, stronger brand awareness and improved customer convenience. Management also reported visibility into the real estate pipeline supporting its goal of 2,029 shops by 2029.

Responding to questions from Bank of America and TD Cowen analysts, executives acknowledged that denser markets could increase sales cannibalization. However, they emphasized disciplined site selection and confidence in new-shop economics.

Dutch Bros Faces Traffic and Cost Pressures

Systemwide same-shop sales increased 4.4%, driven by 4% ticket growth and 0.4% customer visit growth. Company-operated comparable sales rose 5.4%, including 1% visit growth.

Barone acknowledged heightened consumer volatility during the quarter, citing gasoline prices as a potential contributor. During questions from Citi and UBS analysts, she emphasized strong morning demand and continued engagement among Gen Z customers.

Guenser also addressed margin risks. Beverage, food and packaging costs are expected to reach approximately 27.5% of company-operated revenues in the fourth quarter compared with 25.6% in the third quarter, reflecting seasonal mix changes and the absence of tariff benefits.

BROS Expands Digital and Product Offerings

Barone highlighted Dutch Rewards as an increasingly important driver of customer frequency. Loyalty members accounted for approximately 74% of customer visits, while Order Ahead represented 17%, increasing 400 basis points year over year.

The company plans to deepen customer segmentation and introduce more personalized promotions. Management also highlighted early delivery testing with DoorDash as another opportunity to expand customer access.

Product innovation remains central to its strategy. Energy beverages reached 27% of sales mix following the Myst Energy Refreshers launch. Dutch Bros is preparing a refreshed Matcha platform for 2027 while testing additional hot food offerings.

Dutch Bros Maintains Its Long-Term Focus

Management's commentary reflected confidence in shop economics, customer engagement and the expansion pipeline, alongside caution regarding consumer spending and operating expenses.

Barone emphasized consistent execution and product innovation, while Guenser focused on disciplined capital deployment and profitability. The company's priorities remain accelerating development, strengthening customer frequency and managing cost pressures.
