Jacobs Solutions Stock Outlook: Is Wall Street Bullish or Bearish?

Valued at a market cap of $17.9 billion, Jacobs Solutions Inc. (J) is a global leader in delivering end-to-end solutions to some of the world’s most complex challenges, with 47,000 employees worldwide. With expertise spanning advanced manufacturing, cities and places, energy, environmental, life sciences, transportation, and water, Jacobs helps create a more connected, sustainable world through advisory, consulting, planning, design, program, and lifecycle management services.

Shares of the Dallas, Texas-based company have underperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. J stock has risen 2.1% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 18.3%. However, shares of the company are up 14.5% on a YTD basis, outpacing SPX's 11.8% gain.

Looking closer, shares of Jacobs Solutions have lagged behind the State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLI16.9% return over the past 52 weeks.

Jacobs shares rose 1.4% following its Q3 2026 results on Aug. 4, with adjusted EPS increasing to $1.84, beating the analyst estimate. Revenue surged 34.5% to $4.08 billion, supported by strong demand for data-center infrastructure as AI investment accelerated. Operating profit in the Infrastructure and Advanced Facilities segment also grew 13.6% to $268 million, reflecting continued strength in AI-related manufacturing and compute-facility projects.

For the fiscal year ending in September 2026, analysts expect Jacobs Solutions' adjusted EPS to grow 18.6% year-over-year to $7.26. The company's earnings surprise history is promising. It beat or met the consensus estimates in each of the last four quarters.

Among the 15 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on eight “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” and five “Holds.”

This configuration has remained unchanged over the past three months.

On Aug. 14, RBC Capital analyst Sabahat Khan maintained a “Buy” rating on Jacobs Solutions and a $174 price target.

The mean price target of $164.20 represents an 8.3% premium to J’s current price levels. The Street-high price target of $181 suggests a 19.4% potential upside.
