What Are Wall Street Analysts' Target Price for BlackRock Stock?

New York-based BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) is the world’s largest asset manager, overseeing a vast range of investments for institutions, financial advisors, and individual investors worldwide. Beyond its dominant iShares ETF franchise, the company offers active and index strategies, private market investments, cash management, and technology solutions through its Aladdin platform. The company has a market capitalization of $181.6 billion

Despite its massive scale and strong business momentum, BlackRock’s stock has had a relatively muted run. BLK stock has grown 2.1% over the past 52 weeks and 9.6% on a YTD basis. In comparison, the S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has returned 18.3% over the past year and has grown 11.8% in 2026.

Narrowing the focus, BLK has underperformed the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLF8.7% rise over the past 52 weeks but has outpaced the ETF’s 8.7% rise this year.

BlackRock shares popped 6.6% on July 15 after the company reported its Q2 2026 earnings. Its revenue jumped 30.6% year over year to $7.08 billion, driven by higher average AUM, organic base-fee growth, HPS-related fees, stronger performance fees, and growth in technology services and subscriptions. Adjusted EPS climbed 15.4% to $13.91, beating Wall Street expectations. Assets under management reached a record $15.345 trillion, up 22.5% from the prior-year quarter, supported by market appreciation and exceptionally strong investor demand. 

For the current year ending in December 2026, analysts expect BlackRock's EPS to grow 16.2% year over year to $55.86 on a diluted basis. The company’s earnings surprise history is strong. It surpassed the consensus estimate in all four quarters.

Among the 18 analysts covering BLK stock, the consensus is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 14 “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” and two “Holds”.

The configuration has become slightly more bullish in recent months, with the stock now carrying 14 “Strong Buy” ratings, up from 12 two months ago.

On Aug. 10, Evercore ISI reiterated its “Outperform” rating on BlackRock and raised its price target by 1.2% to $1,260 from $1,245, signaling continued confidence in the asset manager’s growth prospects. 

The mean price target of $1,319.94 indicates a 12.6% premium to BLK’s current price levels. Its Street-high target of $1,488 suggests 26.9% potential upside.
