Delta Expands Europe Network With New Routes From Detroit and Boston

Delta Air Lines DAL expanded its European network, giving travelers more nonstop options and greater flexibility. The new Detroit–Athens and Boston–Venice routes, along with Austin–Paris, broaden Delta’s reach beyond its traditional European gateways and provide more direct access to popular destinations.

The Boston–Venice service is particularly notable, strengthening Delta’s presence in Italy and giving New England travelers another direct option. Increasing Boston–Milan service to daily flights also shows the airline’s continued focus on the Italian market, while the use of wide-body aircraft offers passengers multiple cabin choices.

The Detroit–Athens route similarly adds an important connection for travelers in Southeast Michigan and across Delta’s U.S. network. With connections to more than 40 U.S. destinations through Detroit, the service could make Greece more accessible to travelers across the United States.

Beyond the three new routes, Delta’s decision to extend several seasonal services into earlier spring or later fall and winter further expands travel options. Overall, the changes reflect growing demand for transatlantic travel while giving customers more opportunities to plan European trips outside the traditional summer peak.
