Case Study 2: Building a Resilient Automated Trade Execution Engine

Challenge: Automated trading signals frequently fail in live market environments due to unforeseen broker requotes, slippage, and rigid system parameters that cause terminal errors.

Solution: I developed a highly robust trade execution engine in MQL5, prioritizing system stability and fault tolerance over basic order placement. My development focused on:

- Dynamic Alert Processing: Built a sophisticated string parser to process incoming payload data dynamically. This included the intelligent handling of blank parameters, allowing the system to seamlessly execute open-ended trades without triggering system errors
- Signal Validation & Position Management: Engineered strict pre-trade validation checks and automated the safe closure of existing conflicting positions before new order execution
- Advanced Error Handling: Implemented an adaptive retry mechanism within the OrderSend loop. If a broker rejects an order due to sudden volatility (requotes), the engine autonomously fetches the latest pricing data and attempts re-execution within milliseconds

Outcome: Delivered a highly dependable, production-ready execution engine. The system effectively mitigates broker-side errors and network hiccups, ensuring consistent, hands-free automation in highly volatile live environments.

Case Study 3: Data Pipeline Engineering & Vectorized System Validation

Challenge: The client needed to mathematically validate the reliability of their automated execution system against raw broker data without relying on the slow, built-in MT5 strategy tester.

Solution: I constructed a high-performance data processing pipeline utilizing Python, Pandas, and VectorBT

- Data Ingestion: Developed scripts to automatically ingest, clean, and align massive datasets of raw historical tick data directly exported from the broker
- Vectorized Simulation: Replicated the core signal processing and execution architecture within a vectorized Python environment to simulate the automated system's behavior against the raw dataset

Outcome: Provided a lightning-fast, highly accurate validation environment. The client was able to verify the automated system's execution reliability and stability across 20 years of tick data in mere seconds, ensuring the final architecture was computationally efficient and structurally sound
