What It Means for Intuitive Machines Stock

The announcement is highly bullish for LUNR shares as it significantly expands and diversifies the company’s overall business.

Long recognized mostly for its flagship lunar landers and NASA Near Space Network awards, this deal solidifies Intuitive Machines as a key provider of satellite infrastructure and Earth-orbit satellite manufacturing.

Expected to roll out over 30 months (approximately), the multi-satellite agreement grows the firm’s total contracted order backlog to a record $1.8 billion.

All in all, the transaction improves visibility into longer-term revenue growth, proving LUNR can scale commercial operations alongside its core deep-space exploration efforts.

Note that Intuitive Machines ripped through its 200-day moving average (MA) on Aug. 17, indicating a potential end to its broader downtrend.

Why Else Are LUNR Shares Attractive?

For long-term investors, Intuitive Machines stock is attractive at current levels given the company is rapidly building an end-to-end space infrastructure ecosystem that sets it apart from speculative peers.

In its second financial quarter, LUNR saw its revenue more than 4x on a year-over-year basis, and management reaffirmed its guidance of at least $900 million in revenue for the full year.

Crucially, Intuitive Machines is capturing significant market share in both defense and civil space sectors, recently securing subcontracts for defense programs like the Space Development Agency’s AMDT3 missile defense tranche with L3Harris.

Coupled with strategic acquisitions like Goonhilly Earth Station and COMSAT to expand its space-to-ground data services network, LUNR offers unmatched exposure to the booming commercial space economy.

Wall Street Remains Bullish on Intuitive Machines

The aforementioned tailwinds are keeping Wall Street bullish on Intuitive Machines.

The consensus rating on LUNR stock sits at “Strong Buy” currently, with the mean price target of about $33 indicating potential upside of nearly 65% from here.
