If you copy other people's trades you are going to get burnt! - Do it as long as you understand the reasoning behind placing a trade - perhaps as a double confirmation.
If you can't sleep at night then you are most likely over-leveraged and one crazy trader. Don't do it!@
If you sit in front of your PC all day long - you are going to lose money unless you are totally weird, fat and eat chips all day- as your most likely going to get bored and start placing all sorts of crazy trades. Institutional traders do this because they are actually asked to place trades - YOU actually have a choice - so don't feel you have to trade 9am- 5pm. In fact, few selected hours a day is all is required i.e. 6:30am until 8:30am (UK time).
Close you EA before big news events!
If you don't spend couple of hours before market open to analyse the markets - Do not trade at all! Why bother when you haven't done any homework.
Don't leave your EA running while your on a holiday - really bad idea.
