Avery Dennison Earnings Preview: What to Expect

Mentor, Ohio-based Avery Dennison Corporation (AVY) operates as a materials science and digital identification solutions company in North America and internationally. The company has a market cap of $12.7 billion and offers pressure-sensitive label materials, performance tape products, including mechanical fasteners, and pressure-sensitive adhesive-based materials and converted products under the Fasson, JAC, and Avery Dennison brands. 

AVY is expected to release its Q3 2026 earnings on Thursday, October 29, 2026, before the market opens. Ahead of this event, analysts anticipate the company will generate earnings of $2.30 per share, representing a fall of 3% from $2.37 per share reported in the same quarter last year. The company has surpassed the Street’s bottom-line estimates in each of the past four quarters, which is impressive.

For fiscal 2026, analysts expect the company to report an EPS of $10.15, indicating a 6.5% rise from $9.53 reported in fiscal 2025. Moreover, its EPS is expected to rise nearly 9.7% year over year (YoY) to $11.13 in fiscal 2027.

AVY stock has grown 3.5% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 15% rise but outpacing the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLY) 5.5% decline during the same time frame.

On July 30, AVY stock rose 4.6% following the release of its Q2 2026 earnings. The company’s revenue for the quarter amounted to $2.5 billion, surpassing the Street’s estimates. Moreover, its adjusted EPS came in at $2.89, also topping Wall Street’s forecasts. Avery Dennison expects full-year earnings in the range of $10 to $10.30 per share. 

The consensus opinion on the stock is moderately bullish, with a “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Of the 14 analysts covering the stock, nine recommend a “Strong Buy,” one suggests a “Moderate Buy,” and four recommend a “Hold.” AVY’s average analyst price target is $198.28 and offers an 18.3% upside.
