For fiscal 2026, analysts expect ATO to report a profit of $8.47 per share, up 13.5% from $7.46 per share in fiscal 2025. Furthermore, its EPS is expected to grow 6.9% year over year to $9.05 in fiscal 2027.

ATO shares fell marginally on Aug. 5 after it released its fiscal third-quarter results. While Atmos Energy’s EPS of $1.43 surpassed analysts’ expectations of $1.34, revenue of $879.1 million missed the $1 billion consensus estimate, underscoring continued pressure on its top-line growth. The company reaffirmed its full-year EPS guidance of $8.40 to $8.50.

Wall Street analysts are skeptical about ATO’s stock, with an overall "Hold" rating. Among 15 analysts covering the stock, two recommend "Strong Buy," and 13 suggest "Hold.” Its mean price target of $181.54 indicates a 5.4% premium to its current price levels.
