Adobe ADBE is benefiting from accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) monetization across its creativity, productivity and customer-experience portfolio. This is strengthening ADBE’s ability to compete with Microsoft MSFT and Salesforce CRM in AI-powered productivity and enterprise workflows. Adobe’s AI-first annualized recurring revenues (ARR) more than tripled year over year to above $500 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2026, while quarterly revenues reached a record $6.62 billion, up 13% year over year.
Firefly is becoming an important component of Adobe’s AI monetization strategy. Firefly ending ARR, including apps, credit plans and enterprise offerings, approached $300 million, while ARR generated through Firefly apps and credit packs increased roughly 50% sequentially. Firefly users converting from free to paid plans are showing significant generative-credit consumption, creating opportunities for Adobe to generate usage-based revenues alongside traditional subscriptions. Adobe Creative Agent further expands this model, with agent usage monetized through the company’s existing credit-consumption framework.
Adobe is gaining traction from AI within document productivity. Acrobat AI Assistant ARR grew roughly threefold year over year, while paid monthly active users jumped more than 150%. Lifetime AI users in Acrobat tripled year over year. Meanwhile, Business Professionals & Consumers’ MAU surpassed 850 million, supported by adoption of Acrobat AI Assistant, Express creation and PDF Spaces.
Enterprise AI provides another significant growth avenue. Customer Experience Orchestration AI-first ARR increased fourfold year over year, while GenStudio ARR rose more than 25%. Subscription revenues from Adobe Experience Platform and native apps climbed more than 30% and 80% of AEP and AEM customers, respectively, are using agentic capabilities. More than 1,500 trials are underway for Adobe’s agentic web offerings, while Forward Deployed Engineering and Integrated Services grew 60% sequentially. These trends broaden Adobe’s opportunity across subscription, consumption-based and AI-driven enterprise revenues.
Rapid AI Monetization Across Adobe’s Portfolio
Adobe faces rising competition from Microsoft and Salesforce as both companies accelerate AI monetization across productivity and enterprise workflows. Microsoft 365 Copilot surpassed 30 million paid seats, with net seat additions more than doubling sequentially. Microsoft is also expanding from per-seat pricing toward seat-plus-consumption models. Usage-based credit consumption in customer service increased fourfold sequentially, while GitHub Copilot revenues accelerated more than 60% quarter over quarter following the introduction of usage-based billing.
Salesforce is strengthening its challenge through Agentforce. Agentforce ARR exceeded $1 billion, while Agentforce, Data 360 and Informatica Cloud generated $3.4 billion in AI and data ARR. Salesforce is monetizing AI through higher-value seats, additional users and consumption-based Flex Credits. Bookings for its premium A1E and A4X offerings grew nearly 60% year over year, while Headless 360 opens additional opportunities to monetize Salesforce interactions across external AI surfaces. These initiatives increase competitive pressure on Adobe across Acrobat AI, GenStudio, Experience Platform and CX Enterprise.
