H.B. Fuller Company FUL has announced the launch of Kofinity, a new product portfolio designed to advance insulating glass solutions through improved durability, energy efficiency and long-term window seal reliability. The platform builds on the company’s proven 4SG reactive thermoplastic spacer technology and introduces an elevated category of fusion bonded spacers.
Window seal failures can lead to fogging, condensation and reduced thermal performance. This challenge is addressed by Kofinity’s fusion-bonded spacer technology that forms a molecular bond with glass during the IG manufacturing process, creating an ultra-tight bond designed to minimize common insulating glass failure points and enhance thermal performance.
The technology uses robotic precision to fuse the spacer directly to the glass and the secondary silicone seal. H.B. Fuller stated that more than 100 million square meters of its 4SG technology have been used globally since its launch, with 99.9% of installations still performing. This established track record provides a solid foundation for the new Kofinity platform.
The company plans to expand the portfolio with additional new products to address evolving customer requirements and performance standards. Growing demand for high-performance, energy-efficient building products is expected to support opportunities for Kofinity, strengthening H.B. Fuller’s position in the long term.
FUL’s shares have lost 16.7% in the past year compared with the industry’s 3.9% decline in the same period.
