HAL and Petrobras Collaborate on Deepwater Deployment
Halliburton and Petrobras worked closely throughout the project's planning, system integration, testing and offshore execution stages. Their collaboration helped ensure that the ROCS technology met the technical requirements of the deepwater completion operation.
Petrobras successfully used the system to install a subsea smart completion, demonstrating the practical application of remote-operated technology in challenging offshore conditions.
Timothy Horsfall, vice president of Testing and Subsea at Halliburton, emphasized that operators developing complex deepwater resources increasingly require technologies that simplify operations and improve execution efficiency. He noted that the project demonstrates ROCS' ability to reduce offshore complexity and provide a practical solution for subsea completions.
ROCS Deployment Opens Opportunities for Future Applications
