The Supertrend etradro indicator is volatility based and is more of a trend following indicator in function. The ATR indicator, which is integrated into the calculation of the super trend, also calculates course gaps (gaps) and does not overlook them. This allows more accurate values to be calculated.

When measuring volatility, the mean value of the current price serves as the basis. Since the Supertrend indicator features sliding stop and reversal lines, it is quite similar in function to the Parabolic SAR indicator.

Useage

With higher volatility, the supertrend line is further away from the underlying line. The indicator reacts strongly to volatility on the market through quantification and shows quickly when there are signs of a change in trend. The Supertrend indicator always moves in the direction of the trend.

This indicator puts a red and a green line across the chart. The green line represents an uptrend, the red line represents a downtrend. The trend reverses when an existing support or resistance level is crossed. When a price breaks down through a signal line, it means a potential sell signal. A potential buy signal is given when the signal line crosses upwards.

Use Anterior and Posterior Periods rather than Two Equal Periods, set a value for the Anterior Period more that of the Posterior Period for example 1 to 3 in order to early mark your extreme highs and lows on new bars coming.

How to use

This is the lite version of Renko System

The only limitations of this version are some parameters can not set (read only). In this way the user can start to appreciate the Renko visualization and how this indicator can be very powerful and simple at the same time.

Renko charts are based on bricks with a fixed value that filters out smaller price movements.
First thing to do is deciding the brick height. It depends of the duration we want to stay in the market, the volatilty of the market. A good choice could be using the ATR indicator to check the average value of candles in the TF we want to operate.

Time frame should be low( depending of brick height) to have a good representation of historical bars, otherwise the user should adapt the timeframe related to brick height set. MT5 builds bars using OHLC (open, high,low,close)

Strongly raccomanded to switch TF before starting (for example if you are in 30M switch to 15M and then 30M again) to allow refreshing data at the beginning otherwise a wrong graph can be showed. The issue can happens if we have MT5 open and we put in standby or hybernation the computer. When awake again the graph will not be updated correctly.

INPUT parameters

DisplayMode: RenkoAdv, True Renko, Median Renko

The difference is :

-With RenkoAdv, every brick has drawn after a number of points set in BoxSize parameters.

-With TrueRenko on inversion of trend, the price must be distant the double of BoxSize before drawing the bricks. When the double is reached, 2 bricks are drawn. It is less noisy of RenkoAdv mode but it has more delay when changing trend occurs.

-With Median Renko we have a smoother price movement.
-Other mode have been created for allowing the customization of the delay.

Brick size (in Points): the thickness of the renko bar in points

Calculation Type: how to calculate a new renko bar. We can decide to update the graph only at the beginning of a new bar, it is a time dependency.

AVGx Average length: length for the x moving average

AVGx Average type: simple or exponential for the x moving average

Alert on new bar: computer or phone notification is available

Alert on Avg cross: computer or phone notification is available

Show wicks: it will show wicks on the graphic

Sync graph with midnight: Renko is not dependent by the time, so if you close the metatrader and open it again in few hours, the graph could be a little different by today. With this feature the graph will start to be drawn by the first candle starting at midnight.

INPUT parameters

DisplayMode: RenkoAdv, True Renko, Median Renko

The difference is :

-With RenkoAdv with no delay (every brick has drawn after a number of points set in BoxSize parameters)

-With MedianRenko with no delay

-With TrueRenko (on inversion of trend, the price must be distant the double of BoxSize before drawing the bricks. When the double is reached, 2 bricks are drawn. It is less noisy of RenkoAdv mode but it has more delay when changing trend occurs)

-With Median True Renko we have a smoother price movement.

-Other mode have been created for allowing the customization of the delay.

Bicks delay: set the value valid only with Median Renko with customized delay

Brick size (in Points): the thickness of the renko bar in points

Calculation Type: how to calculate a new renko bar. We can decide to update the graph only at the beginning of a new bar, it is a time dependency.

AVGx Average length: length for the x moving average

AVGx Average type: simple or exponential for the x moving average

Alert on new bar: computer and/or phone notification is available

Alert on Avg cross: computer and/or phone notification is available

Show wicks: it will show wicks on the graphic

Introduction

Interpretation

RSI:

The formula for calculating the RSI is RSI = 100– (100/1 + RS), whereby RS is the quotient from the average of the closing course movements of
x bars with rising courses and the average of the closing course movements of x bars with falling courses. The default setting for x is 14 bars.
The RSI is therefore an extended momentum indicator. With increasing RSI value (RSI against 1), the average increasing closing course
movement of the last x bars predominates the falling courses within the last 14 bars. Values below 0.382 indicate a falling course.
Values above 0.681 indicate an increasing course. Values in between indicate a range.

Popp:

The formula for the Popp indicator remains my business secret.
The indicator supports the identification of sideways phases. Values above 0.382 indicate a pronounced range. Values below 0.382 indicate a breakout. The trend/breakout direction is determined by the RSI.

Important parameters

RSI parameter (green line)

Popp parameter (red line): Better to be the same length as RSI, but you are free to try other parameter settings

Lookback: How many bars should be calculated from the indicator (for faster calculation)

Wenn die Kerzen die weiße Linie überschreiten.
Verwendung eines zusätzlichen Indikators, der Unterstützungen und Widerstände einzeichnet und den Handel schließt, wenn sowohl Unterstützungen als auch Widerstände erreicht werden (in einem zukünftigen Update werde ich versuchen, diese Funktion in den Indikator aufzunehmen).

How does it work?

The first two indicators are the Bollinger Band and the Keltner channel . Which are responsible for triggering the first component of the MT5 squeeze indicator “the dots”. Hence, at this point, two cases may occur depending on the movement of both indicators (img1)

The dots

Dot appeare at level 0 with gray where Keltner channel inside Bollinger band and yeallow when Keltner channel outside Bollinger band

The histogram

The histogram shows momentum of price.

Squeeze settings

Actually, most traders use the default parameters of the squeeze indicator. Nonetheless, setting up this indicator does not require advanced knowledge. That is why we can easily modify it to fit our needs. The image below displays what will be plotted on the chart if we use the default inputs. Yet, we can customize the MT5 squeeze by adjusting its different variables like;

-BB length (period): represents the number of bars you want to use when calculating the squeeze indicator.

-BB multiple factor (deviation): represents the standard deviation of the indicator.

-Keltner length (period): denotes the number of bars you want to use to calculate the indicator.

-KC multiple factor (deviation): represents the standard deviation of the indicator.

-User True rangce (KC): when true, KC user range of price; when false, KC use high-low in before 1 candle

The relative strength index (RSI) is a technical indicator of momentum that measures the speed and change of price on a scale of 0 to 100, typically over the past 14 periods.

Cause RSI measures the speed and change of price, trader normally use this indicator in two way:

To solve this problem, I studied a lot of RSI and found Quantitative Qualitative Estimation (QQE) indicator. In essence, the QQE is a heavily smoothed RSI. After many test, I change some thing in how QQE calculated as folowing:

1. Base of standard RSI (can change rsi period in indicator setting), I calculate EMA of RSI standard with rsi smoothing period =>( RsiMa)

2. Calculate AtrRsi= RsiMa (canlde before)- RsiMa (current)

3. Calculate MaAtrRsi = EMA of AtrRsi

4. Calculate dar= EMA of MaAtrRsi in Wilders_Period = (inp_RSI_Period * 2 – 1)

5. Calculate lower_line(red_line) and upper_line(blue line) base on dar and rsi ma and rate QQE (default is 4.238). This two line defined band that rsi should inside.

6. Alert buy and put arrow on chart when candle before have rsi in oversold ; rsi<lower_line AND candle current have rsi>lowerline. (opposite to the case of selling)

Der Indikator ist in den Standardeinstellungen als dickere blaue Linie dargestellt. Ein Farbwechsel zeigt Ausreißer (außerhalb der 2. Standardabweichung) an. Der Wechsel nach „pink“ gilt als Vorwarnung einer Trendumkehr zu niedrigeren Kurswerten (short Signal). Der Wechsel zu „türkis“ gibt eine Vorwarnung zu einem möglichen Trendwechsel zu höheren Kurswerten an.

Der Nebenindikator gibt den z-score des Kerzenschlusskurses an, standardmäßig als dünne, graue Linie. Rote und grüne Farbwechsel geben hier die Ausreißer-Vorwarnung eines bevorstehenden Trendwechsels an.

Praktische Anwendung: Da die normierten Returns zum Mittelwert zurückkehren (mean reverting), ist es wahrscheinlicher, dass sehr hohe oder sehr niedrige z-score Werte ebenso zum Mittelwert zurückkehren. Der Indikator funktioniert also als Oszillator im klassischen Sinn. Die Konfidenzintervalle von 90%, 95% und 99% dienen als Orientierungshilfe, der die Wahrscheinlichkeit des Nicht-Überschreitens des z-scores angibt. D.h. ein Annähern an diese Werte kann eine Trendwende anzeigen, da es z.B. für das 99% Level nur eine Wahrscheinlichkeit von 1% gibt, dass der z score dieses Level überschreiten wird. Eine Trendumkehr ist also viel Wahrscheinlicher. Gleiches gilt für den Farbwechsel.

Zur besseren Vergleichbarkeit wird die HV prozentual geordnet, basierend auf der gewählten prozentualen Stichprobengröße (period). Der PHV (Prozentanteil der Historischen Volatilität) zeigt den prozentualen Anteil der Kerzen an, an dem die HV unten der aktuellen Schwankungsbreite gehandelt wurde. D.h. ein PHV von 5% zeigt an, dass nur 5% der zurückliegenden Kerzen unter dem aktuellen Level gehandelt wurden. Ein PHV von 80% zeigt eine aktuell sehr hohe HV an. Es bietet sich also an, an Marken wo der PHV sehr niedrig ist, einen Einstieg zu suchen, da die Volatilität wahrscheinlich ansteigen wird und größerer Preisbewegungen erwartet werden.

Die Indikatorwerte werden als Säulendiagram dargestellt und gehen von 0-100 [%]. Der PHV ist KEIN direktionaler Indikator. Nur zusammen mit der Korrelation zum Anleihen Kurs kann eine Aussage über die Bewegungsrichtung gemacht werden.

Korrelationskoeffizient (Correlation Coefficient) ist im Fenster unter dem PHV als Liniendiagramm dargestellt. Über traditionelle Pearson Korrelation wird der Zusammenhang von Historischer Volatilität (PHV) und Kurs hergestellt. So können mit dem nicht-direktionale PHV, direktionale Aussagen getroffen werden. Normalerweise pendelt ein Korrelationskoeffizient zwischen -1 und 1, hier wird er für eine bessere Darstellung skaliert und bewegt sich zwischen -100 und 0, die Mittellinie (Nulllinie) ist also bei -50.

Die Korrelationslinie ändert ihre Farbe basierend auf dem Signifikanzlevel, dem P-Value mit 5% Signifikanz Confidence Intervall. Wenn die Korrelationslinie „grün“ ist wurde signifikante positive Korrelation von PHV und Kurspreis erkannt. Wenn die Linie „rot“ ist, signifikante negative Korrelation.

Beispiel Strategien:

• PHV steigend UND signifikante positive Korrelation = mögliche große Bewegung des Kurses zu höheren Kursen erwartet (LONG)

• PHV steigend UND signifikante negative Korrelation = mögliche große Bewegung des Kurses zu niedrigeren Kursen erwartet (SHORT)

• PHV fallend UND negative Korrelation = es wird erwartet, dass der Kurs langsam zu höheren Kursen wandert (LONG)

• PHV fallend UND positive Korrelation = es wird erwartet, dass der Kurs langsam zu niedrigeren Kursen wandert (SHORT)

Eingabeparameter:

Sample Size Historical Volatility: (Stichprobengröße, Kerzenanzahl) Standardwert 10 Kerzen, um die Historische Volatilität zu berechnen.

Sample Size Percentile: (Stichprobengröße für Perzentile) Standardwert 100 (Empfehlung: Quadratzahlen von der Stichprobengröße der HV), gibt die Anzahl der Kerzen an, die zur Berechnung des Perzentilen Anteils benutzt werden.

Sample Size Correlation: (Stichprobengröße für den Korrelationskoeffizienten) Standardwert 10, gibt die Anzahl der Kerzen an, um die Korrelation von PHV und Kurs zu bestimmen

1st/2nd/3rd Multiplier: Multiplikator der Standardabweichungen um die Bereiche abzugrenzen (Standard: 1.00, 2.00, 3.00). Ist ein Float Wert, könnte also auch mit „1.96“ genau den Wahrscheinlichkeitsbereich von 95.0% anzeigen.
à “1st SD multipl.” == 1.00, heißt die Linie “1st band” begrenzt den Bereich der 1. Standardabweichung (untere und obere Grenze)

Anwendungsfall:

Standardmäßig werden die Bereiche für 1., 2. und 3. Standardabweichung angezeigt. D.h. die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die aktuelle Kerze innerhalb der beiden Begrenzungen von 1. StdAbw. „upper“ und „lower“ schließt, liegt bei 68.3%. Dementsprechend für die Begrenzung der 2. Stdabw. (upper/lower) liegt die Wahrscheinlichkeit bei 95.4%, dass die Kerze innerhalb dieser beiden Linien schließt. Und 99.7%, dass die Kerze innerhalb der beiden äußeren Linien (3. Stdabw) schließt. Das bedeutet im Umkehrschluss, es gibt nur eine Wahrscheinlichkeit von 0.3%, dass die Kerze außerhalb dieser Linien schließt. Wenn sich der aktuelle Kerzenkurs also gerade außerhalb des 3. Bereiches finden, kann das ein guter Einstieg sein.

Zusammenfassung (mit Standard Eingabeparameter 1.00/2.00/3.00):
